parents(pt1)

a/n: no smut

after the hot tub last night me and eddie smoked and went straight to bed. i woke up before him and pick up my phone. my face drops as i see a specific notification

*new text from Mom*

i feel my heart race and my stomach drop.

"No no no"

i say under my breath. i feel eddie shift in the bed and then soon lift his head looking up at me. his eyes are squinted

"What is it?"

he asks probably noticing the panic on my face. i turn my phone to him and point at the notification. he looks at it and then at me, eyes open now.

"What did she say"

"I'm too scared to open it."

he puts his hand on my thigh

"It'll be okay"

i sigh and open the notification.

*text* (m: mom)

"m: Hi y/n. Your father and I are visiting Hawkins today and leaving tomorrow. We got a hotel and we'd like to see you!"

i read the text out loud

"Are you kidding? Why why why did they have to come here."

i get up out of the bed quickly and pace around the room. i clench my fists and take deep breaths trying to calm down. i'm beyond infuriated. my parents were the worst, and i don't mean that lightly. i resent them for everything but i can't find it in myself to cut them off. eddie gets off the bed too and walks over to me. he stops me and holds my arms, rubbing them gently

"Hey, it'll be okay. Just focus on me princess"

i look at him and take deep breaths until i calm down. i smile up at him

"Thank you. I just.. don't know what to say to her"

"Well think about it this way, do you feel like seeing them or no? And whatever you decide she should respect it"

i stay silent for a minute just thinking about it. eddie let's go of my arms.

"Maybe it wont be so bad for a couple of hours. Maybe not even that long."

he smiles

"Then let her know sweetheart"

i walk back to the bed and grab my phone and text her back

(y: you)

*text to mom*

"y: Yeah we can meet. My place of choosing and i'm bringing my boyfriend."

i see the text bubble and then she responds

"m: Let me know where and what time"

"y: Meet at the mall at the food court. 3"

i set my phone down.

"I guess you're meeting my parents at 3."

he smiles.

"Can't wait for them to see what an amazing man you have"

i laugh and smile

"They're going to be jealous of our perfect relationship"

he smiles and sits on the bed next to me. he leans in and i do too, kissing him softly. after a while of just sitting around and telling him what to expect of my parents, we started getting ready. i pick out an outfit before doing my hair and makeup. i put on the outfit and check it out in the mirror, making sure i like it. eddie picks an outfit and puts on his shoes. i put mine on too and it's only 2:30. we decide to smoke before leaving and being a joint for the drive. we go outside and use my new bong (s/o robin and steve). we each smoke 4 bowls before eddie quickly rolls a joint. we leave the house at about 2:50. we light the joint and then start driving. we drive there listening to music and passing the joint. we get to the mall a couple minutes early and finish the joint in the parking lot. i look at myself in the mirror. i let out a sigh and look at the mall. i feel eddie's hand on my thigh and i look over at him

"It's gonna to be okay princess. Just let me know when you want to leave and i'll say there's something i have to do."

i smile and put my hand on his.

"Thank you. I love you"

he smiles

"I love you too"

we get out of the car and he grabs my hand quickly. we walk into the mall. i'm dreading this.
