a/n: no smut. use of a drug other than weed tho!

me and eddie somehow stumbled upon the topic of shrooms one night while talking. we talked about never trying them and ultimately the conversation lead to us wanting to try them together. we decided we didn't need a 'trip sitter' since we were gonna stay inside the whole time and not take too much. we decided to buy from someone eddie knew and trusted. we got the shrooms and kinda just looked at them for a while

"Ummm.. do you think they're nasty to eat on their own?"

i asked kinda grossed out by the looks of them.

"I don't know. Should we find out?"

"Fuck it"

i shrug and open the bag, taking out a decent amount. i grab my water-bottle i had on the bed and opened it. i threw them into my mouth and started chewing. they were gross. i chugged the water and swallowed as much as i could. eddie just watched for a second before he eventually grabbed the same amount as me from the bag and threw them in his mouth. i handed him the water bottle and he drank it quickly.

"God they were nasty."

he swallowed the water and made a face

"They really were. How long until they kick in again?"

"Google said 30-45 minutes and we should feel it."

he takes a breath

"Okay i'm nervous so, can we lay down and just scroll on our phones while we're waiting. It'll calm me down."

"Yeah of course let's do that."

we lay down on the bed, his arm wrapped around me and my head is resting on his chest. we both scrolled through our phones, not talking as we waited. him being nervous is making me nervous. i'm sure it'll be fine. nothing to worry about. after what seems like forever, my phone starts to seem really far away. i drop it and blink, rubbing my eyes. i look up at eddie and his pupils are absolutely humongous.

"Eddie, i think it hit me"

he looks down at me and starts laughing

"Your pupils oh my god"

"Eddie you should see yours!"

he stops laughing and looks at me

"Oh my god are they bad?"

i nod my head yes

"Let's take a picture"

i suggest to him. it was to remember this moment but also for us to be aware of what we look like. i read somewhere we aren't suppose to look at ourselves but, whoops. i take out my phone and go to the camera and pointing it at us. we both smile and i take the picture. i go to the picture and we both look at it in silence. after what seemed like a minute i turned my phone off and we started laughing. i don't think i've ever laughed this hard in my life.

"Princess this is so funny. I cant. Why is everything so funny"

"Probably because this is a high we've never felt before. It's so much funnier than a weed high"

after we calm down from laughing we lay back down on the bed and just look at each other. we're holding hands and just staring at each other. i swear it felt like we were here for hours and hours. eventually i broke the silence

"I'm hungry. I feel like i haven't eaten in a long time"

"Let's get up and make something because i am not driving anywhere like this."

"Well duh"

i get up from the bed slowly, making sure i can even walk properly in this new state. i walk to the kitchen and eddie's right behind me. we get in there and look through the cabinets and the fridge. eddie notices cups of ramen on a higher shelf and pulls two out

"Should we eat this?"

"Oooo yes yes"

i quickly take one and rip it open with my nails. he puts his out to me and i rip his open too. i personally dump out the veggies because they're gross but he didn't. i filled them up with water and so did he. we took turns with the microwave and just sat there watching it spin. when it beeped we both snapped out of whatever trance we were in. it was fun.

after they finished cooking i got forks and he got hot sauce. we put some in and he put it back. we went and sat on the couch and watched a movie and i cannot even tell you which one because i was so focused on my ramen.. after the movie we set our empty ramen cups on the table and layed down talking.. for like 5 minutes and fell asleep. id say the first time doing shrooms was a success!
