there was very little that the doctor wouldn't do for his best friend, amelia pond.
and there was very little, if anything, that he wouldn't do to protect her.
he had, and would again, pull time apart for her.
and this was unusual, never before had he felt so closely connected to someone that he would rip time apart for them.
well, almost never.
there was one time.
rose tyler.
there was not a single thing in the entire universe that he would not have done for her.
including giving her up forever.
he would and will pull time apart for amy any day.
but rose is the only one that he would ever give up.
because that's how much he had loved her, and how much he always would love her.

"we calibrated the doomsday pumpers." he froze.
that was the second time lately that he had heard that word, and he just froze.
his doomsday. his rose.
he couldn't save her. there was no way to save her.
the doctors biggest regret had always been and would always be not being able to save rose.
but maybe he could save amy.
and that would be enough to allow him to keep going, even without his precious rose.
