IX. Office/Nightfloat
Just more of the same from earlier. This 'break' of outpatient office based medicine is an extension of my home base for residency. As Family Medicine residents, the goal is to produce primary care providers, most of whom will end up in your neighborhood doctors' offices. As my 'home', it is nice to get to be in a place where there is...some...continuity. This is where we see patients when they are well in addition to when they are ill. Long-term relationships can be fostered this way.
