Over the course of the last 6 days I have gathered my things and gotten ready. My weapons were sharp, my mind even sharper.
I felt Red's eyes burn into my skin as I packed some food and drinks, prepared. None of the others knew what I was gonna do, at least I think so.
A backpack was dropped off beside mine. I paused a bit and glanced at the person that did so. Jura grinned at me, putting in some stuff as well like a rope and medical equipment. I raised an eyebrow, very confused. "What are you doing?", I asked carefully. Jura chuckled and softly nudged his head towards the door.
A bit surprised I turned to it, noticing that a bunch more bags were there, as well as some weapons.
I didn't know what to say, realizing that meant that they're all going to come with me. In pure silence I turned back to Jura, shocked.
"What, you think we'd seriously leave you in the dust? Even after the shit you pulled?", he snickered.
A weak smile crawled onto my lips as Red joined in. "We all made mistakes, Jay. And, we want the old guy back too. So we're coming with you!", he cheered.
A small chuckle escaped me. "Thanks, guys...", I whispered. Red happily giggled and hugged me, snuggling into my shoulder. "No problem, Da- Jay."
I raised an eyebrow at that slip-up and looked at him. Red tried not to let his nervousness show, avoiding eye contact. "Dad?", I asked. He paused a bit before scratching the back of his neck. "Y-Yeah, sorry...", he nervously apologized.
I snickered a bit and ruffled his hair. "No, no, it's fine, Reddie." He looked up at me in shock. "What do you mean?", he asked me shyly.
"I don't mind you calling me that, Red.", I replied calmly. He eyed me in shock before happily smiling and hugging me again, much tighter this time. I nuzzled him softly, trying to relax a bit.
The image of Notch still tortured me every night, I could barely sleep anymore. I didn't need too much either way, but that was still brutal.
But now I have a mission, and I'll try my best to find him. It's the least I can do for him...
I shivered heavily as the feeling of dread ran through me once more, dread that we might never find him again. That we can't bring him back...
I hid in Red's shoulder, letting out a shaky breath. Who would've thought I'd show so many feelings for a person when I've been cold and alone almost all my life?
Red patted my back gently to make me relax. I only slowly did, it was really hard.
Nightmare came over and put in a few things we might need into each bag, lockpicks, pocket knives, things like that. I watched as he did that. Even when kneeling down that guy easily reached up to my chest, with a bit of bending down we could even kiss.
He straight up is a dilf. No doubts in my mind. And seemingly a very hardcore sub as well, because Zephyr came up behind him and hugged him, kissing his neck. Nightmare was immediately red and embarrassed, not exactly sure how to react. He got up and turned to him, only to get grabbed by the collar of his hoodie and pulled down into a kiss, which he gladly answered. Zeph kept him in it for a pretty long time before he broke it. "You didn't give me a kiss, Nighty.", he mumbled, not amused. Nighty went even more red and scratched the back of his neck. "Sorry, I had to finish this first.", he apologized shyly. Zeph frowned. "A kiss can't wait~", he whispered. "You'll get your punishment soon enough~"
Nighty was red like a cherry by now, stuttering around like a shy school boy that got asked out on a date. Zeph let go and gave his lap a poke before he left again to get the children ready for going over to Shadow's and Jerry's house. They would be safe there while we're gone.
I broke the hug and went over to Nightmare, who needed a few moments to calm back down. "You good?", I asked. He looked over before nodding. "Yeah, I'm good all in one. That adventure will be a bit difficult for me tho, some of my body parts still stiffen up from the metal suit incident. Should've gone to a legit hospital to get this checked out maybe.", he explained. I nodded. "Yeah, probably."
"And you, Jay? Are you ready for what's about to go down?"
I hesitated a bit before nodding. "Yeah. I have to after all.", I answered. He frowned softly before patting my shoulder. "You can always say that you don't want to do this, we wouldn't judge you. You got hit the hardest by this, so at any point you can go to Jerry and Shadow and just wait there.", he told me. I shook my head. "No, no, I have to. It's the least I can do for Notchy after the shit I pulled..."
Nightmare eyed me before smiling and nodding. "Good man Jay, always concerned for his people.", he chuckled. I gave a small smile back and got back to work.
I haven't seen Evander since a while. Somehow I'm concerned that something might've happened... Whether it's good or bad, I don't really know what's going on.
A small sigh escaped me, this wasn't great. Who knows what he's up to...
I sighed and rubbed my head, still a bit confused why they were helping me as well, and sort of concerned about what is going to happen. It wasn't anything good, that's for sure. Between a dragon, literal death, constant danger, possible traps and bad injuries there was no way we'd all arrive back home. We are way too unlucky for that.
But at the same time, exactly that gave me a ton of hope. We are constantly in danger, but survived for this long. With only one bad fatality, everyone else is still alive.
A smile snuck onto my lips. We had a new legacy, everything was changed after all.
And I was hopeful.
