(Canon Nighty coming in UwU)
We tried to go deeper into the cave, not particularly sure what would meet us there. Last thing we needed was to get lost, get pushed into a dead end or be buried under tons and tons of rocks. I felt like they were giving me the fault for what is currently happening. But it really isn't, and I already warned them in the past that we'd most likely meet her! Is this really my fault then? A loud cracking sound came from above us. Riota had been trying to dig her way down to us, without success of course. But the sounds were still terrifying, it always sounded like the caves were about to collapse on top of us. I barely breathed, somehow that thought scared me badly. Zeph held my hand in hopes I'd calm down and felt less like shit, but with the sounds, Hollow's pissed glances and the heavy silence that rested upon our group, that was barely possible. By now I was judging myself for a ton of things. Getting Riota all those years ago as an egg, raising her, leaving the Farlands, meeting Hero and the others, not being able to step in as Notch committed suicide, not being able to do this mission alone, having been locked into that metal suit which fucked up my body and lastly ever even bringing them here to the Farlands. Sure, Jay wanted his husband back, but maybe it would've been best to let him get over it alone. At least then I wouldn't have been getting those glares and scoffs, and maybe Riota would've left them alone. Or they would've been able to escape so much easier, without having to wait for my sorry ass. We walked for about 6 hours through the caves, and I grew more and more uneasy. This cave was supposed to end long ago, but instead it had changed from the rough and uneven rock to a very smooth and dug out tunnel, definitely made by human hand. Jub seemed surprised too, constantly checking if his grimoire was still there. He usually did that when he got uneasy or even scared, just so he knows that he'll be safe and able to defend himself if necessary. After a while we ended up in the thing I feared the most: A dead end. We were trapped. I helplessly stared at the blank wall in front of me. Who knows how much stone was behind there, there was no way to get out of here by digging our way out. We had no clue what would come behind there! God damnit, I can already tell Hollow or anyone else will take my head off for this. I lead them into a dead end, there was no way they wouldn't get upset! "Nightmare." I flinched and pulled my head in, expecting some scolding or something. When nothing came tho I glanced over, uneasy. It was just Jub, who now seemed really confused. "Are you okay? You seem really tense.", he asked softly. I swallowed a bit, nervous. "Y-Yeah, I'm good.", I lied, looking away. Turns out, I'm a shitty liar. They immediately looked through it, but didn't mention it. They probably already knew what was up. Hollow patted my shoulder and pointed up. At first I flinched back before frowning and looking up, noticing a vent above us. "Do you think you'll be able to lift me and Jubilea up there? We passed a locked door earlier on, maybe we'll find a way through it once we go through the vent." I needed a few seconds to understand before looking up again, thinking. "I mean... Yeah, definitely... Zeph, could you stay behind me, just in case?", I asked. Zeph nodded and got in position. Hollow looked over to Jub after putting his backpack down, eyeing him a bit before humming. "Do you want to go first?", he offered. Jub shook his head. "No, I might need help even getting up there.", he replied. Hollow nodded and went over to me. I crouched down and folded my hands, allowing him to step on them and hold onto my shoulders. With a small boost he managed to get into the vent, holding onto the edge and climbing in. The vent seemed really spacey, he easily managed to turn around and look out. "Alright, your turn Jubilea.", he said. Jub nodded and came over too, placing his bag down. For him it was a bit harder, he's really small so he needed a bigger boost than what I gave Hollow. And even then I basically still had to hold him so he could get Hollow's hand and climb inside. Once that was the case we headed back to the door, which I only just now noticed. Maybe I was really way too tense... Zeph gently caressed my back, sighing. "Nighty, everything is okay. None of this is your fault.", he whispered. "Exactly.", Bellatrix added. "Hollow just gets... Very tense in situations like those, same as me. I suppose the military fucked us up badly. But even if, everything is okay, we don't hate or judge you for this." I felt a bit better hearing that from her, she probably knew Hollow the best from all of us. I could hear someone kicking against the door, making me flinch back. When it didn't give in however, there was a loud, frustrated groan and cussing. Bellatrix giggled, amused. "And there goes his temper tantrum.", she hummed happily. I was about to ask what she meant by that when I heard a bunch more cussing and attempts on getting the door open. Eventually they stopped tho, seemingly Jub had prevented him from going any further. Red strings wrapped themselves around the metal of the door, slowly tearing it out of it's frame until a loud crack could be heard and the thing fell out of its frame, landing with a clank sound. Hollow stood a bit perplexed next to Jub, while the smaller male put away his gloves. "Easy as that, mate.", her cheerfully hummed. The former soldier stared at the realm for a while while we entered. Jub took his bag and put it back on. "Come on Hollow, it was just a bit of magic.", I giggled. Hollow glanced at me before sighing quietly. "Yeah yeah, coming...", he muttered and followed after Bellatrix gave him his back and a kiss on the cheek. Together we went down the long, dark hallway, made of metal and quartz.
