Sleeping through the night was a nice, calming experience during this troublesome time. I was really comfy, snuggled up to Xander like that. Xandy seemed bothered by something while we had sat at the fire, but finally relaxed once I had talked to him. Shortly after that we already went to bed, skipping dinner for once since we were really exhausted. The morning afterwards was unbelievably cold, forcing me to begrudgingly curl up and shiver, whining silently. Tiredly I snuggled up to Xander, unwilling to open my eyes just yet. Xander, still deeply asleep, put his arms around me in a protective manner, both to keep me safe and warm as to establish the bodily connection we lacked before. I turned around so I was facing him and buried my face in his chest, purring quietly. My tail was still completely unusable, otherwise I would've wrapped it around him. Guess it didn't get healed fully, but at least the pain is finally gone. So I suppose something good happened. Someone gently unzipped our tent and peaked inside. A bunch of cold air broke into our fortress of warm snuggles and I let out a loud sound of protest. Nighty let out a soft chuckle, amused by my reaction. His laughter was one of a kind and extremely recognizable, considering it was always genuine. No matter what situation, his chuckle always showed his emotions, and mostly he tried to make the best of it and be cheerful. He was rendered almost helpless in fights by now, his limbs seemed to lock up more and more from the entire metal suit situation. So it was one of the only ways he could actively help us, by being mental support and showing us that every situation has hope connected to it. Even tho his helplessness really was an issue to him, he grew up fighting and prayed that he'd die fighting. "I know you're tired, but we should get up now and have breakfast. I already made coffee for us.", he explained quietly as to not hurt our ears and rip us out of our half-snooze. I grunted quietly, acknowledging this. Nighty silently retreated to wake the others up, closing our tent. Reluctantly sitting up a bit, I yawned and stretched, grunting. My body was still a bit stiff, but I didn't mind all that much. That was completely normal after all. I carefully stretched my wings and used my hands to move my tail, attempting to loosen it up a bit. To my satisfaction it somewhat worked, I could actually move my tip again without much pain. A smile crawled onto my lips and I purred in content. This is amazing, the numb feeling was slowly but surely disappearing. I gently nudged Xander, attempting to wake him up. "Wake up babe, breakfast is coming soon.", I whispered, as if it was an argument to get up from a seemingly very comfy slumber. Xander hummed weakly and put his arms around my waist, pulling me close. I yelped quietly as I fell over into a lying position again, going bright red when he decided my chest was a really comfy pillow. "H-Hun I'm all boney, I'm not that comfy!", I stuttered, both embarrassed, but also surprised. He grunted, not agreeing with me. "Your chest is a great pillow...", he muttered, hiding in my chest. I whined cutely and hid my face, really embarrassed. Xandy continued to sleep, so eventually I was stuck with an unmoving and quite frankly heavy guy on my chest, sprawled over my considerably tiny and frail body. I sighed hently and ran my hand through his hair, thoughtful. The thing from yesterday still confused me. He put down his crown because of what happened? I'm honestly... Shocked. But also relieved. Things did change a lot since we met at the start. He went from a really asshole-ish king with a sassy attitude to a relatively calm and collected one. He stopped calling himself the best at every occasion, but was much more understanding and could read the room. If he wanted to that is. A small smile crept onto my lips. My presence seemed to have helped him... That makes me happy. My mind went over to something less happy and the smile fell. The way he looked at me when I mentioned Nighty and me having been together... He was really curious about my backstory. I'm not sure if that was good or not if I told him. It's not exactly pleasant for me, and I heavily doubt he'll be alright knowing that I've been locked up many times before Nightmare and me even met... I'm not sure if I should tell him. Especially now, after what happened, and the fact that we're so happy right now... Telling my story would heavily dim the mood, and his reaction would either be scary or worrying. A soft sigh escaped me and I glanced at Xander, flinching a bit. He stared right at me, a bit confused. "What are you talking about?", he asked, not too sure. I paused before going pale. Everything I thought... I said it all out loud...? "How much did you hear...?", I asked nervously. "Enough to worry." I hesitated before sighing. "I'm sorry...", I mumbled. He just smiled and kissed me on the nose. "Give yourself time, maybe you'll tell me one day. But promise you will tell me?", he asked. I stared at him in surprise, but nodded with a smile. "Thanks, hunny.", I whispered. Xander smiled happily and snuck up a bit so he was on eye-level with me, before pulling me into a gentle kiss. I happily replied to it, really needing one right now. He was so skilled at kissing, easily overpowering me every time. Funny, and to think I'm the incubus here. He broke the kiss after what felt like a good eternity, keeping up eye contact. I was a bit out of breath and red, embarrassed by the fact he dominated me like that. He seemed to notice what I thought a smirked, gently kissing my neck. I almost let out a mewl, but bit my lip hard as he nibbled on my sweet spot. The tent wasn't exactly soundproof after all. He pulled away and I subconsciously ran a finger over the mark he left. Xander smiled and sat up. "Just so everyone knows you're mine.", he whispered. My face went red, but I couldn't stop smiling. "It's good to have you back fully, hunny." "It really is..."
