Multiple days passed

Multiple days passed. Once again we were on our way to the crack, once again we went through the forest. Teleporting would be possible now that we knew the way, and Hollow drew a map of the Farlands so it would be easier. I was thankful for that, that way we didn't need to go that painstakingly long way.
Stretching a bit, I walked next to Jay. "How much further do we need to go?", I asked. Jay shrugged a bit, unsure. "I don't know. Nighty is the one teleporting since he has the largest range out in the Farlands. Also so he doesn't feel useless, it's bad enough he won't be able to fight...", he replied, lowering his voice at the end so only I could hear. I nodded, but the thought made me sad.
Maybe we can do something to make it better for Nighty.
I glanced over to said demon. Nighty didn't seem to listen to any of us, his eyes were trained on the ground. Hollow was with him, just as silent. Bellatrix on the other hand was more talkative, chatting with Jerry and Shadow. They were joining us, same as the children. When we got into the fight tho, they were ordered to stay out of it and hide until it's over. They had been begging to come, so we agreed rather reluctantly. So now they had med kits with them, being our on-site ambulance crew pretty much.
Henory was a bit behind us with Antonio, holding hands. Seeing the reaper walk around like that made me happy. Intentionally he was only with us to catch any souls that might escape during the fight so either we can be revived or Sylvie and her people were prevented from doing anything worse.
I didn't get why Sylvie did that. Why she was so heavily against us.
A bit uneasy I looked back at Henory. His wounds were mostly fine, some still hurt nonetheless tho. I did offer to attempt and heal them fully, but he seemed content without that.
It was confusing to me, but I didn't complain. That didn't cause any strain for me, so I could concentrate on getting fully used to my new body.
Jay continued walking alongside me until Nighty stopped at the edge of the forest, looking around before nodding. "Here we are. I'll teleport from here, tho we might need to do that twice. The Farlands are quite big and we're a big group. I apologize if I get a bit overwhelmed.", he explained, at the end looking a bit worried. Jub patted his back. "It'll be fine. Plus, I'm sure you can manage that in one attempt.", he cheered him up.
Nightmare threw the incubus a small, thankful glance before he opened his arms a bit. "Gather around please, it'll be easier for us to teleport together.", he ordered.
We nodded and did so, gathering around him. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, teleporting us away. It felt weird, being randomly teleported like this, but I didn't mind.
We ended up on the edge of the Farlands. Nighty looked around before frowning in disappointment. "Again.", he mumbled and repeated this.
This time we arrived at the correct destination, at the entrance to the building that contained the crack.
I paused a bit, not exactly expecting it to be that big. I only caught a small glimpse of it when we left, so I took a step back in surprise.
Jay hummed and rubbed my knuckles with his thumb. "Calm down dove.", he told me. I nodded slightly and snuggled up to him.
We gathered ourselves before heading inside, unaware of what we'd get met with.
This could either be a massive fight, or a five minute mission that is successful.
Nighty grew more and more tense, not sure how this fight would go. Zeph kept his hand close, humming softly. He was completely calm, almost hyped for that fight. Armed with his bow and arrows, he seemed cheerful even.
I was a bit stunned, not expecting that. That was a surprise. I didn't expect him be that hyped for a fight against a brutal enemy such as Sylvie. Especially after the torture she had put the couple into.
But maybe that was exactly why he was that hyped. Because he could pay back the trauma she caused.
I sighed weakly, worried again. That would be interesting...
The path was still open, which cheered Jub up a bit. At least now he didn't have to crawl through tight spaces.
We kept going until we arrived at the crack, getting met with Sylvie, Evan and Adon.
How'd we know they'd be here in the first place? Simple, Henory, being a reaper, has the ability to find and locate dead souls. One of them was either undead or lacked a living soul, so Henory was capable of tracking them. Which he was actually really proud of.
Sylvie turned to us, noticing our presence. She raised an eyebrow before smirking, an expression that unsettled me. She signaled her two lackeys that we were here, so both Adon and Evan turned to us as well.
Adon closely eyed Jay, a bit of hate flickering in his eyes. I growled lowly and pushed Jay a bit behind me, ready to behead Adon if he dared attack him before anything started.
Sylvie snickered. "Ah, so you found us, eh?", she asked, way too soft for my likings. Hero frowned a bit as well, not pleased. "What's with that tone, cunt?", he growled lowly.
Something we agreed on before was that, to confuse Sylvie, he'd still act as if he were insane. Which made him unpredictable, even more than before. Sylvie would need quite a while to notice something isn't right.
Speaking of which, she frowned softly. "Cunt? Got no better ideas for insults, demon?", she muttered. Hero scoffed and gripped his scythe tightly. Henory did the same with his own.
Sylvie closely inspected the reaper. "Ah, so there you are. You escaped my little fun room, hm?"
Henory hissed, a sound I hadn't expected, and one that made Antonio flinch back in surprise. Henory cussed her out in a different language, to which Sylvie screeched and attacked. Both Evan and Adon didn't seem ready, but that was fine.
Sylvie immediately went for Henory's throat, definitely hating what he had called her.
Must've been something bad.
We split up into groups, taking over the three enemies while the children hid as promised. I took on Evan, ready to make him pay for everything he did. Jay way by my side, defending and fighting with me. On our side were also Jerry and Bellatrix. Nighty kept Adon far away from Evan, with Hollow helping him. Nighty struggled quite a bit, but did his absolute best. And honestly, it was much better than before. Shadow was right next to him, so if he fell, he'd catch him.
Red and Hero were working with Henory and Antonio. Jura, Centi, Xander and Jub on the other hand ensured that there was no escape, while Jub passively gave us a strong strength boost and prevented most deadly attacks with his magic.
Overall we were nicely balanced, fighting against our enemies.
Evan hissed when I cut his left upper arm open with my old sword, Jay had kept it safe while I was dead. That was good, it was still as sharp as before.
Evan stumbled back and held his injured arm, growling. "How dare you lay your filthy hands on me, asshole?", he hissed at me. I smirked and raised my sword again. "You decided to touch my husband first. I'm gonna take your arms off slowly but surely and feed them to you while you're alive and screaming in agony.", I promised him, giggling. Bellatrix whistled before snickering. "That sounds like a plan I'd enjoy!"
Evan yelled and jumped at me, but I dodged away. Jerry was quick to smack him into the ground with her spear, pinning him. Jay disarmed him before I could get harmed and we had Evan helpless on the ground before he could do much damage. That of course caused him to panic.
I giggled softly and went over, fully aware Jay was watching me. He knew I despised Evan for forcing us apart with that cheating scandal, and I already ripped Jay a new one.
Now it was his turn.
Evan screeched when I came closer and crouched down, trying to attack me. But with Jerry keeping him pinned, that was useless.
"Not so brave now, hm?", I purred softly and put my sword next to his head. He struggled more, knowing I wasn't fucking around. Jay looked away, having heard that dangerous undertone that basically said: You dared to fuck with me, now you're gonna pay.
And as much as I would've wanted to dismember him, Adon was getting heavily inferior, so before I could start my fun, he escaped Nighty, Hollow and Shadow, managed to get between us and touch Evan, and within the blink of an eye, all that was left, was some blood on the ground and purple particles.
Abit perplexed I blinked before growing and getting up. "Teleporting away, huh...", I muttered. Jay rubbed my back a bit as an apology before pausing when Sylvie screeched. She saw what had happened, and was especially not happy when Henory smacked her in the face, knocking her to the ground. He had stayed completely silent during the entire fight, only coldly eyeing Sylvie. Not once did he look at the people by his side.
For the first time however he felt like a real reaper.
She gathered herself and got back up, getting some distance between her and us. A bit panicked her eyes flickered over us, knowing she was inferior. Then she saw something and started to smirk.
"A chain is only as strong as the weakest link~", she cooed before disappearing.
All of us simultaneously felt something or someone heavily tug at our powers, at the same time Henory got ready for something. For Jub it was enough to rip him out of his concentration and stumble, just in time. Sylvie's sword came down on him, but the blade never connected.
Henory however swung his scythe, and as his weapon hit Sylvie's neck, an impossibly strong blast sent us to the ground, preventing Sylvie from escaping her fate.
None of us were able to see what had happened through the dirt and  dust.
You can't escape Death that easily.
