It took quite a while until Hero woke back up again. He was acting really weird, first his constant switch between insane and sane, and now the stuff with with Xander. We all know the king pisses us off, but he doesn't need to attack him.
I eyed him a bit. "Careful. Don't want you to attack another person.", I mumbled when Hero sat up, rubbing his head. "I... I need to talk to someone. Alone.", he whispered. "Yeah no, not happening. I'm not leaving this tent.", I replied sharply.
"Then you'll stay, Jura."
I stared at Jay a bit perplexed. "What do you mean, I stay?", I asked. He sighed weakly. "Well, he wants to talk to someone alone. He won't talk until we're gone. So Red and me will leave, and you and him will talk.", Jay explained calmly. Red only hesitantly agreed, not wanting to leave his husband's side so quickly. But he got up and left, uneasy. Jay followed him so only Hero and me were in the tent. Jay closed it so we weren't getting bothered.
"I... I saw Notch.", was the first thing Hero said. I perked up a bit and decided to listen, he wasn't done after all.
"He was a ghost, but he's still there. He's getting surpressed by that reaper guy, I think Henory was his name..."
By now I worried that he might be too insane to even have a normal every day conversation.
"He's planning something and wanted me to stay out of this until I can backstab you during some fight. I don't want to do this...", he kept going, curling up and holding his head a bit. Maybe he was telling the truth, this really seemed to stress him out.
I didn't know what to do, situations like this aren't my strong suit. I wasn't able to hug people like Jay, nor could I talk to people like Red. And I wasn't able to lend a comfy cloth as a blanket like Nightmare with his cloak.
So I had to bite the bullet and hug him, tense. Hero snuggled up to me, tightly clinging to my shirt. I bit my lip slightly, he was insanely strong, so I feared he'd break my shoulders. But that wasn't the case, he stayed surprisingly gentle, even going as far as to not dig his nails into my skin.
I let out a small sigh of relief and calmed down, tightly hugging him. He kept hiding in my chest, refusing to let go. A bit uneasy I caressed his hair. "Are you okay?", I asked quietly. Hero didn't reply at first, hiding deeper. "I'm... not sure...", he eventually admitted, shaky. I nodded and rubbed over his head. "Take a deep breath and then slowly tell me what happened. I'll listen.", I offered.
Hero needed a long time before he finally talked. "I... passed out after what had happened. Then I woke up in a dark void. There was a ghost in front of me, which I later noticed was Notch! He's still there, still waiting! He wanted to help me a lot but Henory kept forcing him to stay back. He told me that he altered your memories, to stay out of their way and to stab you in the back when the time is fit..."
And there goes the panic again.
I frowned slightly and kept him close. This didn't sound good at all...
I was considering getting Jay and Red involved. However that would probably give problems. Jay would most likely get overly excited, and Red wouldn't he able to concentrate since Hero is that panicked.
This was a difficult situation...
I sighed weakly and lied down so he was on top of me and can calm down better. Hero only slowly did so, burying himself in my chest. "What time is it...?", he mumbled quietly. I thought a bit. "I'd assume around midnight, but I'm not too sure. I didn't bring a watch.", I replied. He nodded, understanding. "Thanks..."
"Don't mention it."
We stayed silent for quite a while before I shifted a bit, getting uncomfortable. Hero perked up a bit, frowning slightly. "You sick at hugging, you know?", he mumbled quietly. I couldn't hide a grin, amused. "Hugs aren't my strong suit..."
"But they aren't too awful either."
I calmed down a bit at that statement. This was nice, knowing that he didn't mind those hugs.
He sat up on my lap after a while, rubbing his eyes. "I'm tired, I think I'll go to bed...", he whispered. I gladly agreed to that and got up. "I'll let Red back in so Jubilea and Jay can start their nightshift. Goodnight, Hero.", I said. He nodded and got comfy again. "Goodnight to you too, Jura...", he replied.
I opened the tent and crawled out, showing Red that he could get back in. Jay was currently talking to Jub a bit, telling him how they'd do the nightshift. Red in the meantime crawled into the tent and closed it so his husband and him could enjoy a bit of privacy.
I rubbed my head and went to Centi, getting into the tent. He was sprawled over the floor, already snoring happily. A quiet, almost exhausted sigh left me. How do I inform everyone of what happened, or rather, warn them of what will happen, without causing Jay to go beserk in order to get to his dead husband and get him out of the misery he's in? If Hero is telling the truth, everything is much, much harder than I had previously expected. Oddly enough tho, I didn't feel scared. This was very, very surprising, considering what is going to go down.
I frowned slightly before rubbing over my forehead. This turned out harder than I expected...
A small sigh left me as I laid down, putting my head on Centis' warm back. He readjusted himself a bit before comfortably cuddling me with his tail.
Odd...
There is a presence nearby, it felt so familiar, yet so strange...
Sleep overwhelmed me before I could think more of it.

(Told ya I'd be able to do it! >:3)
