Walking with a cane was actually pretty hard to get used to, but after like a month of practice you were pretty set.
You had taken Uzui up on his offer about moving into one of the rooms of his house, so as soon as you were discharged from the estate you didn't have to worry about your living situation.
You had decided that even though you were practically useless, you would not retire, and you ended up taking on low-level demons as practice.
While you wanted to say you were back to your original level immediately after a few missions, you were not.
Fighting with a cane was hard, but it was even harder without it. Your balance was horrible now, and that was something you relied on.
So you made a decision.
You would get a prosthetic. Where from, you ask? You didn't know, you assumed someone in the swordsmith village had to know, so you started there.
To gain access to the swordsmith village you would need to talk to Kagaya, which you weren't excited about since all he did was scold you lately.
With a sigh, you wrote out a letter to Kagaya.
Dear Ubuyashiki-sama,
I'm sure you were informed about my decision to not retire, but this has been hard for me as of late.
My balance is horrible without a leg, so using a cane is a must, but in battle its horrible to use.
I'm sure you are getting what I'm saying by now, but I am requesting you allow me into the swordsmith village, or at least pass on the message that I'm in need of a prosthetic leg.
While I would like one out of metal, something lightweight like wood would also do the trick.
Xoxo Gossip Girl
(Y/n btw)
You reread the letter multiple times, making sure it was perfect, even seeming nonchalant about the whole thing. Real thing was that you wrote heavily counting on this, if you didn't kill Muzan you would be mocked for life.
Even though no pressure was put on you to kill Muzan from the characters around you, you just knew that once you died and went to hell you would be mocked big time.
You groaned and lay on the bed with your arms spread out, the paper jostling and falling to the wooden floor at the movement.
You let out a small whine as you kicked your legs (leg) and thought about everything.
You were bored!
You haven't seen anyone new in ages! You really wanted to see Muichiro, or like Gyomei! It all sucked!
You turned and laid your head on the yelled into the pillow.
Isekaing was totally a mistake! You really miss everyone! Even your online girlfriend who broke up with you before you went...
Most of all though, you missed PussyJuice! He was your absolute best friend, you shouldn't have left him!
You sat on your stomach and let out a small pray that he kept his promise and followed you into this world just to kill you, even that would be more entertaining than this boring life.
"Hello?" You heard behind you, sitting up to see a confused but beautiful Shinobu standing in the doorway, "I wanted to come talk to you now that I'm back from my mission, you doing alright here?"
She walked towards your bedside as she took notice of the note fallen on the ground. She let out a confused hum at the signing.
"Gossip Girl?" She looked amused before putting the paper on the table and taking a look at your severed leg, "I wanted to see it healed nicely, the cut wasn't very clean."
"I'm sure it's all fine," You said while laying down with your hands behind your head, whistling to a random song from tiktok that was stuck in your head, "I wasn't allowed to do anything anyway..."
"Well, I'm glad to know that Aoi has been taking care of you then," she let out a little laugh while she undid the bandages and looked up at you. She took notice of your hair, "Your hair is getting long, isn't it? Should I cut it for you?"
"Nah!" You said immediately sitting up and grumbling, "I vowed to only cut it myself after my freaky coma thing, I don't know why I did but I can't go back now!"
"But it will just come out choppy again," She giggled before looking at your leg. She let out a small gasp as she poked and prodded at your scar.
"What, why did you just gasp!" You said worriedly, about to move over to look at your leg before she interrupted you.
"It seems it's already scarred over, even though it's been just a month..." She looked confused before looking at you with her normal smile again, "I'll have to look at your stomach wound now!"
You sighed and took off your shirt completely, leaning back on your elbows as she leaned over you and unwrapped your bandages. You blushed a little at the sight of her.
"Have you gone outside often, Y/n?" She asked with a sweet smile, moving her finger across your stomach skin with a smile.
"No, I burn too easily 'cause I usually go outside at night, lol," She looked a little confused for a second at your wording before having a grim look in her eyes.
"I'm a bit worried now," Shinobu sat up and smiled at you before bluntly telling you about your condition, "I have a feeling you were infected by a demon or something, with your last fight you might have gotten demon blood in your wounds."
"What the fuck?" You looked confused as you sat up completely and crossed your arms. You leaned on the bedframe and looked at her with a raised eyebrow, "But I'm not a demon, so like, no way."
"That's why I'm confused," she said with a smile, "I think this might have to do with your power, but I do not know."
"Okay? Whatever I honestly don't care if I turn into a demon, I can still eat human food so whatevs," You said nonchalantly.
"Hmm, well I will inform Ubuyashiki-sama of your condition, and hopefully he will have an idea of what is going on with you. She immediately left your room, giving a small goodbye to you.
You lazily waved by to her before laying back down on your bed comfortably. You think... you want to kill the demon that brought you here.
Was turning you into a half-demon pity or something?! What's with that?! Obviously, you were half demon now, no doubt about it. Like seriously, what other answer is there?
Wait... if you were a demon now then can Muzan hear your thoughts?
...
Nah, lol.
He probably can't since being a half-demon isn't in the manga, making you completely and utterly non-canon.
But if he could you would be fucked.
Okay, I'll stop trying to foreshadow now.
Taisho Era Secrets! Shinobu Style!
Shinobu is actually a bit of a secret admirer when it comes to you, and while she tries to play off her interest in you as admiration, we all know she has a bit of a puppy crush.
