"How are you feeling?" I asked for the nineth time.
He nuzzled my chest, he was leaning to me and hugging my wasit. "I'm fine."
I hummed, unconvinced.
We're lying on his Hospital bed, the four were eating in the couch, again. Kanina ko pa napapansin ang pagsulyap nila tapos iiwas rin ng tingin. I don't really care but remembering their terrified expression earlier, I was intrigued.
"Josh." He called.
"Yeah?" I look down on him.
His eyes were hooded and he has this soft expression in his face. "H-How's the game? Did we won?"
I paused and eventually nodded. "Yes. Tumba ang kalaban nyo."
"Huckk--shit!" Nabulunan ang apat at sabay na napaubo.
I glance at them quickly but returned my eyes on him immediately. He smiled widely, but flinched when maybe his wound stinged.
"So.. I'll get a reward?" He excitedly said.
I scoffed in disbelief. "You broke your head open and you still think about that?"
He shrugged. "It's a reward."
"You'll know it tomorrow." I combed his hair.
Sumimangot sya. "Anong bukas pa?!"
"Bukas ang Award Ceremony diba?" I shrugged.
"Ehh?!" Ungot nya.
"Sshh. Don't pressure your head too much or your brain will pop out." I hushed him softly.
"Pfft--" We both glared at Pete that's been stopping himself from laughing.
"Saya ka? Tangina mo." Pikon na asik ni Adonis dito.
Ngumisi lang si Pete at bumulong kay Ian at pareho silang tumawa. I rolled my eyes and focused on Adonis again who's calling my attention. He's been like this again after he woke up, being too much hungry for my attention like yesterday.
Adonis fell asleep again, when he woke up he's good to go so we left the Infirmary and went to the Sports Centre where his teammates are. They want to know if he's okay and also to discuss about the cancelatiom of the Champ game.
"Bring his stuffs to the Parking, iuuwi ko sya sa kanila." I told the four and they immediately left.
"I don't want to go to our house." I heard Adonis whispered.
I glanced at him and pulled him closer to me. "Then you'll stay in my unit for today."
Gulat syang lumingon sakin. "H-Ha?"
I smirked. "I heard you."
He stiffled a smile and looked away. We reached the building and saw them waiting in the entrance. Si Jake ang unang nakapansin samin. Sinugod nilang lahat si Adonis at kinamusta. They were all worried for him, I can see that.
"Tado ka! Pinagalala mo kami!" One of them was about to hit his head.
I grabbed his wrist and pushed Adonis behind me. He was shocked and stepped back. I let go of his wrist and gave him a warning look. He swallowed hard and hide behind his other teammates, avoiding my gaze, so does the other.
Sumipol si Jake at inakbayan si Adonis. "Ano pre? Ayos pa ba yang ulo mo?"
Mayabang na ngumisi si Adonis. "Oo naman! Hindi ako weak, gago."
"Dapat lang na ayos lang yan, Captain. Baka tumalsik na ulo nong Gamonte kung hindi." Humalakhak ang katabi ni Jake.
Gamonte? Who's that?
