Chapter 21

The door slammed open and a broken hearted Lucy entered slamming the door shut on her way in. Tears were still running down her face.

Her house was dark and empty, just like the feeling lingering in her heart.

It has only been a few minutes since her confrontation with Natsu and she still doesn't know how the tears were still falling. She had already cried so much already.

She went to her room and plopped herself in the soft mattress and covered herself in a blanket.

She felt numb, she didn't know what her next move would be.

Her whole body felt numb, her heart felt like it was just shattered and her mind was in a frenzy.

Don't get her wrong, what happened two years ago, when he looked at her with so much hate and betrayal when she told him what happened to his father was her fault, was much worse than what happened earlier.

But then why did she feel this hurt?

Oh right, he finally forgave her after 2 years of suffering from the past and that he asked her to give them another chance but she had to decline because she was getting married to one of her friends who her best friend is in love with, tomorrow.

It was so confusing, honestly.

She really didn't want to marry Sting but what can she do? She can't go against the Emperor's wishes. This was probably the most mercy she will ever get from him for chatting up with a human.

Just then she heard a noise. It was obvious that the noise was coming from inside her house.

She didn't have a pet nor was she expecting someone so it was really clear what was going on...

...someone broke into her house.

But the question is why?

She didn't have anything valuable in here worth stealing and what moron would go and rob a fairy's house anyways that was also against the law? Unless they want a death wish, they should stop.

She got out of bed and peeked out of her bedroom's door frame.

She didn't see anyone. "Am I going crazy?" Lucy thought.

She was about to go back to her bed when a sack covered her head and an arm held her still.

She tried to fight back and even started screaming for help but it was no use, no one could hear her.

She then started to feel her eyes closing. She was getting sleepy. Trying to maintain her consciousness, she took one last look at the sack that was covering her head and saw that there was purple dust stuck on the fabric.

Those purple dust weren't ordinary dust, she knows those dust from anywhere.

It was Sleeping Dust. Just a sniff of them can put any creature to sleep.

Night Fairies were the only ones capable of creating and using them, since they used them to put their victim into sleep.

Slowly Lucy was starting to lose consciousness.

"Is this how I'm going to die? Kidnaped by someone I don't even know? Well at least I got to talk to Natsu for at least one last time..." Lucy thought.

She then slowly felt herself being carried bridal style by her kidnapper. She didn't try to fight it this time nor did she scream for help. She just gave in.

She was finally giving up.

But before actually falling asleep one word slipped out of her mouth in a soft whisper.
