"God this place is a mess." Mandy sighed running a hand through her hair. "Malachi!" Mandy shouted from upstairs.

Kai stood up quickly her hair a mess given the fact until a few minutes ago she was sound asleep in her bed. "Ye-yeah?!" Kai asked before a yawn escaped her lips as she walked to the kitchen when she saw the latter to the attic out.

"Come up here." The woman demanded and as soon as those words left her lips Kai hurried up the latter scared for the reasoning of Mandy yelling. "Holy fuck this looks like shit." Kai mumbled rubbing her eyes staring at the very messy attic in front of her.

"Yeah no fucking shit." Mandy scoffed before grabbing her phone looking slightly stressed out, "look I got a date with Andrew, hopefully you get that new phone for your birthday. So Kai I am begging you to clean this place." Mandy begged letting out a sigh

"Okay." Kai sighed attempting to fix her hair, "thank you I love you." Mandy smiled kissing Kai on the head and walking down the stairs.

"Where do I even start." The milkovich girl sighed as she stared at the mess in front of her.

The mess honesty wasn't even that bad it was just Kai being dramatic as always.

A smile appeared on her face as a she had what you call a "lightbulb moment."

Kai grabbed her phone and dialed a number, "hey do you think you could come over and help me with something?" Kai asked putting the phone to her ear. "Thanks you're amazing I'll see you in a bit." Kai smiled hanging up the phone.

The girl looked at herself in a mirror before her face fell. "God I look like shit." Kai admitted walking out of the attic to find some better clothes to change into.

A few minutes later Kai heard a knock on the door, a smile appeared on the girls face without her even realizing it.

When Kai changed all she really did was brushed her hair and put on some shorts and t-shirt so in sum she looked exactly like she did when she first woke up in the morning.

Kai opened the door revealing Benjamin who only wore a blue hoodie and some jeans headphones dangling from his hoodie.

. "Hey what did you need help with?" The boy asked walking in.

One thing that Kai picked up on was even tho she was a night owl, Benjamin was more of a morning bird. And you know what they say opposites attract.

Maybe that's why things with Carl never worked out they were to similar with each other, but with Benjamin there was a balance between the two and Kai liked that balance a lot.

"Cleaning." Kai smiled nervously showing Benjamin a couple of black bags and gloves.

"You know spring cleaning usually happens in spring not in the middle of the season." Benjamin informed raising an eyebrow a smile on his face.

"same thing." Kai shrugged walking up the latter.

The boys eyes went wide when he saw the attic. "Haven't you only been living here a year?" Benjamin questioned turning to the Milkovich girl, "well Mandy's been here for two and I've been here for one." Kai smiled innocently looking up at the boy.
