Kai shut her locker when she was met with Benjamin who as always had a grin on his face. That was one of them any things Kai liked about Benjamin was no matter what he was always smiling.

"hey." Kai greeted earning a smile from the boy. "So I was thinking," the boy started grabbing Kai's books for her so she didn't have to.

"That's not something you usually do." Kai smirked earning an eye roll from the boy. "I was thinking you and me." Benjamin stated, Kai only raised an eyebrow very confused at what the boy was saying.

"Huh?" Kai questioned tilting her head clearly confused, "god you're making this way harder than it has to be." Benjamin sighed feeling embarrassed now as he rubbed the back of his neck, "I am asking you out on a date with me."

Kai's mouth fell open in shock not expecting him to be so blunt about it. , "is that a yes or no because this is gonna be really awkward if we just stare at each other until next period." The boy laughed nervously.

Kai only nodded before she was pulled out of her thoughts. "Yes." Kai whispered making Benjamin smile. "Yes?" The boy asked waiting for confirmation.

"Y-yeah." Kai confirmed a smile on her face. "Awesome." Benjamin laughed softly. "I'll walk you to class."

"Okay." Kai smiled as she walked with the boy her stomach doing cartwheels as she walked.

"You don't have to hold my things you know?" Kai mumbled a small smile on her face. "I know I don't have to but I do want to." Benjamin smirked before the bell rang. "Not let's hurry up I already have enough tarty slips because of you."

Kai laughed as the boy began running, the girl ran a hand through her hair before she ran after the boy.

Tilly walked into Patty's, after Tilly and after told V and Kev that they had no idea where Kai was, V took it upon herself to fire the two teenagers.

Because of this Tilly had begun working at Patty's. "Party. Tomorrow night, after hours to announce our new tunes." Fiona announced earning a weird look from Tilly.

"We'll invent bullshit drink names for the booze and keep it off the menu." Fiona smiled

"I thought this was a diner not a bar." Tilly mumbled before smiling "I'm in, I can get you some good booze in exchange for a raise." The girl smirked

"Fine, fine." Fiona smiled rolling her eyes playfully. "I'm gonna go take a nap."

Tilly only smiled as she grabbed her sprite when Fred walked in. "What's with you?" Tilly asked seeing the exhausted look on the boys face. "Fucking exhausted, Holly and my mom were fighting." Fred explained looking half asleep.

"Come on you can crash at my place." Tilly suggested a smile on her face as she grabbed her coat.

"You're a literal life saver." Fred smiled following his friend out of the diner. Tilly only hummed before she grabbed a cigarette and lit it.

"How's white boy?" Fred asked grabbing the cigarette from Tilly. "Still thinks we know where Kai left to." Tilly mumbled a small frown on her face.

Both of the teens missed Kai deeply, it wasn't the same without her. It wasn't like Fred and Tilly weren't friends they were, they loved each other like family. But their family wasn't completed without Kai.

"Nobody needs to know." Fred mumbled blowing out smoke. "Nobody needs to know." Tilly repeated before letting out a sigh. "Come on let's get home, I have a double tomorrow."
