"Ms. Hicks, Ms. Hicks!" Bailey ran in at the last minute.

Classes had been over for the day and Simone was looking forward to doing nothing all weekend since she was caught up with grading. She continued putting folders in her bag and stopped to give her full attention to Bailey. Jordan ended up referring to Bailey , Silas , Matt and Sasha as the mini core four while Matt and Bailey kept jokingly referring to Simone and Jordan as their parents.

"Yes Bailey? You don't need anymore extra credit."

"Oh I know, I love being your top student. I need a promposal idea." She had nothing in mind but it had to be good.

"Why are you asking me? I have no plans to attend." Simone felt like she did enough chaperoning that she didn't need to do anything else for the remainder of the school year.

"Oh please, you and I both know that Coach is going to ask you and you will say yes. I too would say yes." Bailey was literally half of the female student body that found Coach Baker to be attractive. She couldn't help it.

"Didn't I tell you to mind your business?" Simone raised a brow.

"How can I? All the other teachers are old and they aren't as cute as you two are. My parents , forreal."

Bailey was raised by her grandparents when her parents died in an automobile accident when she was seven. She was an only child so when she found friends then she really cling to them. Simone almost felt like an older sister in her opinion so she always sought out her advice since she was itching to go more into art.

"Anyways, who are you thinking of taking?"

"Well, I wanted to ask Matt but I don't think he will say yes." She felt like she had been crushing on him for the majority of the school year.

"Why not?"

"He's been having a difficult time at home and he doesn't really pay much attention to anything. I don't want to be rejected."

"I never went to my prom so I am not the best person to actually ask, so -"

"Oh, we are changing that, immediately." Ava walked in.

Ava was probably the one person that Simone could say she had gotten to know even quicker than Jordan. She taught English and knew all the gossip. As much as Jordan would claim that Ava would have to pry Simone from his cold dead hands, she really appreciated that she actually hit it off with Ava. She was expecting the same kind of energy with her Iike when she met Thea years ago.

"Ava, I already told Bailey that I am not going."

"You think I am going to let you have me suffer at prom alone? Let alone not see you experience prom with that knuckleheaded man." Ava covered Bailey's ears playfully.

"She already knows." Simone laughed.

"Damn, you kids talk too much." Ava shook her head , sitting on a desk swinging her legs

"It's Coach Baker's fault!" Bailey reminded.

"What's my fault?" Jordan walked in.

"Mind your business!" All three looked at him.

"Ms. Hicks has never been to prom!" Bailey yelled making a run for it.

"Now, I don't believe that. What is she talking about?" Jordan found it to be quite humorous.

"Since when did my classroom become the hangout?" Simone looked between her boyfriend and her friend.

"Don't try to change the subject. The man asked you a question." Ava pestered.
