"Baby, What do you think about Miami?" Jordan slipped his shirt over his wifebeater."I really like - Jordan Baker, what is that?" Simone walked out the bathroom.
She took notice of her fiancé's shirt with various photos of her. She tilted her head in confusion waving her finger at the shirt.
"Oh! It's my Simone Baker band tee." He looked down at the shirt with a huge grin.
"No way. Absolutely not." Simone shook her head.
"Too bad, I am wearing it." He responded, sliding his watch on his right wrist.
"Please don't." She pouted.
"Look at the back!" Jordan grinned turning around.
"If you see my girl , wish her a happy birthday...now!" Simone read aloud. She sighed, throwing her head back.
"Are you the only one with this shirt?" Simone sighed, hugging him only to attempt at removing it.
"Oh no, Liv has a cropped version." He smirked holding back a laugh.
"OLIVIA!" Simone yelled running out the room , racing down the stairs.
The athlete stopped seeing all the decorations surrounding the living room space. There was massive metallic pink balloons spelling out her name. No one had ever taken birthdays seriously like she did. She was lucky she even got a happy birthday text from her mother. She heard Patience yell out that she finally showed up.
There was a table filled with gifts. Okay, maybe Simone was dramatic about her mother but still, her old friends didn't show up like the way her new friends did. All of this threw Simone off guard.
"Happy birthday my queen!" Jordan reached the step above her, whispering in her ear. His arms drapped down her shoulders.
"Those better be happy tears." Keisha ran over.
Keisha and Jordan gave her a group hug. Pulling away from him, Simone almost forgot about the shirt. He wiped her tears with his thumbs giving her a peck on the mouth. Playfully putting her in a head lock, it didn't take long before she was pulled away by her soon to be in law.
"Oh my god, you do have a shirt!" Simone frowned in a teasing manner.
"We celebrating you today sis, we're wearing the shirts." Olivia confirmed with a smile.
"I promise you, we love you but the twins are the only corny ones here." Spencer defended his lack of wearing a shirt with her face on it.
"Shut up party pooper." Jordan commented.
"Soon as y'all stop embarrassing my friend." Spencer mean mugged Jordan.
"Anybody else glad that Cam isn't here to sing?" Patience jabbed.
"Please don't remind me." Keisha sighed.
She loved Cam. She would always have a love for him but the singing got old very quickly. Liv linked arms with Simone lighting all twenty six cupcakes. She felt like she was sitting in Red Lobster when the waitress would yell for everybody's attention in order to sing Happy Birthday. Simone tried to hide her face hearing all the off key singing.
"Make a wish!" Liv yelled in excitement.
Simone paused for a moment and blew out a candle. Of course they would get the ones that weren't so easy to blow out. It felt like it took her forever to blow out each other. Removing the candle and wrapper, Simone held one up for Jordan to bite into it and instead smashed it in his face.
