Skye backed away as she stared in awe as she watched the spirit divide itself. What was it doing? Why was it- Her thoughts were interrupted by her answer. One part of the spirit charged towards her, and flew down her open mouth.

She clawed at her face, wanting to scream. However, she didn't want to waste her time. Skye changed her focus from the physical world into the back of her mind. There stood the silhouette of a fairy. Her eyes widened as she recognized it. A few weeks ago she had a dream, and this same spirit or fairy had spoken to her, telling her that they would corrupt her. And they were right.

Skye attempted to speak, but no sound escaped her lips. The spirit let out a booming laughter that shook her head, her brain, her mind, and her heart. The power of the spirit once again drew her in, but she kept pushing herself away.

' ' I told you my dear.. I would come back to corrupt you. I lent you my strength. I told you I was going to have you under my control. I am powerful. I am almost ready. You shall help me escape. ' '

She backed away, eyes wide. She wanted to throw insults to the spirit, but they had taken her voice away. But yet again, this was her mind. She was magically strong, and she could fight it. They were no match in her domain. Skye closed her eyes, attempting to speak from the heart instead of the mouth.

"YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO-" She yelled out, but it was quickly stopped. Skye attempted to talk again, but something was preventing her. She reached for her face, only to find it snapped shut. She forced it open with her hands, but it closed quickly.

' ' You are more powerful than I expected.. your mental strength is already strong. Perhaps I should also help you in that, once I have you under my control! ' ' It snarled. ' ' Don't you hear that?! People don't want you! Miles said it was deserved! He wants you to suffer!.. ' '

Skye backed away, it wasn't unbelievable, it *was* deserved, but it still struck her heart. She knew why he was saying it. At first she didn't even want to stab him, it was a joke. However, Hibiscus and her made it a reality. She practically did nothing. However, he still blamed her. And it *was* her fault. Skye couldn't act like a child and put the blame on Hibiscus, that was disgusting. Unhonorable.

He was right. Everyone was right. She was an unstable insane ugly monster-like freak. Who in their right mind would want to stab someone simply for repeating a harmless phrase over and over? For simply babysitting a fake child gang? Miles was correct, she was horrible. Horrid. Her guilt increased by tenfold when she remembered the cupcakes. He had put so much effort into those, and she had re-payed him with plunging a knife into his flesh. She wasn't the one to do it, of course, but she had watched it happen. She let it happen. She *wanted* it to happen.

Her logic was flawed, no, there was no logic. Just simple emotions. She had promised many years ago to never let emotions cloud her thinking, but she had let it happen. And now what had she done? She had helped break apart her friend group. Her friend group were the only people she truly cared about other than her father and animal friends. Miles was her best friend, and now he hated her with a burning passion. She grabbed her hair, shaking her head aggressively. However, the spirit had more to say.

' ' People thought you were a monster, even though you weren't. It doesn't matter what you do, people will always think you are a monster on the surface. Heck, people here at orchid think you are a weird monster. Now is the time to prove them right.  ' ' Skye had attempted to fight off the spirit with all her might, but her guilt used up her energy. Her emotions had led to so many bad things, that's why she closed them off. But the one time she has opened them up in years had let to the destruction of the relationship with one of the people she cares most about.

She dropped her hands to the side as she finally gave in, and let the spirit win. However, she stayed there, she could speak again. But not physically. Only mentally. For in the real world, she was corrupted.
