Darkness, a messed up leg, uneven terrain, and only one usable eye did not pair well together. 'Course, she adjusted quickly, as she had learned to do, but her first few minutes in the cave were full of trips and having to narrowly save herself from a face full of water or rock with a wind carpet. At least her spell reaction time was getting better.
Disgruntled after being informed of what had happened in the library, Mr. Thompson seemed wary of the area, but not unfamiliar with it. After all, he had once been one of those Duskfeather youth who frequented the spot. He chuckled remembering it. *Some memories never left him.* The man tapped his cane along, looking around. With his worsening vision and the dim lightning, it was hard to spot things. But not this thing. *"Hmph?"* Purple light shone through a crack in the rocks. Easily, the elderly man ripped it out of place. A swirling, almost liquid type shield seemed back there. Furrowing his eyebrows, he continued to move the rocks out of place with Leafwing magic. Until finally, it was fully revealed. It was a portal. He, and all the other students, were sucked into it the moment he realized.
Oh, they just had to be fucking with her. Pulled through another mysterious portal for the second time today. She hadn't thought that her first day back after missing that volcanic all out battle would be so eventful. Orchid never failed to do this, didn't it? Scanning the area, the yells and shouts immediately flooded her ears. She tensed up for battle, until a voice realized that they were merely.. students.
Sighing, she stared at her classmates, before approaching one of the clearly adult fairies. "Hey, look, where the hell are we? What kind of person plants a portal in a cave where teens go?""What portal? Don't know what you're talking about, kid."
The fairies have no idea how the students got here.A hood was draped over to obscure the face, yet it was undoubtable that the figure that had just entered held incredible power. Fairies stepped aside as the person approached a fairy, seeking answers. "And who, may you children be?" The voice was gargled, though it didn't seem to be strange to the regular adults.
Marissa's hands clench, trying to subdue the nauseousness. The intensity of the place arose, the mere tensity made her snap back. Though she couldn't see their face, she stared right at them, as if boring between the barrier of cloth hiding their appearance.
"We were exploring a cave, then happen to stumble along a portal. Then we ended up here."She explained, while gesturing her hands along with the flow of the story.
Silence was exchanged. Neither having anything to say, rather studying one another. Until finally, the adult spoke. "Then would your group be pleased to join our training session? Teaching the youth is important to us. Ah, and a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am @!(DSHSte#m, and we, are the Talons of Peace."
dividerSeagull came sprinting towards the hooded figure, whispering words into the individuals ear. They turned to the students, about to ask why they would do such a thing to attack their member when they had treated the teens with nothing but respect, when out of the blue-# WHAM *!*Fairies seeped in from all corners of the cave, from hollow areas connected to the southern caves. Mangled ones that looked like grotesque mockeries of fae. Brandishing weapons of all sorts of size. Twinkling magic.**"EVERYBODY, GRAB YOUR WEAPONS, THE AMBUSH IS HAPPENING!"** Seagull yelled. All members jumped into action immediately, like they were expecting this. Because they *were.* Everything had been perfectly planned, until their arrival. Two famous faes stood at the forefront, their names, Ezekial and Scarlett. And they were already fighting.
Battle hardened. The girl drew her sword in a strong gust of wind, severing her weak connection to the minds of the surrounding fairies. Her stance adjusted to be steady, and her muscles tensed. It just had to be when they had come, didn't it? In the coming seconds, she realized that it *did* have to be when they had come. The paper that the royals had read aloud said as much.
A fairy approached her. Scars covered their body and their expression and stance matched her own. She gritted her teeth, and fought. Still injured, her agile movement was dimmed, and her limp affected her. Skye struggled to keep her wings away from the attacks. Slash. Dodge. Pierce. Jump over. Her sword did not seem to sway their violent intent. Blood marked her wounds, though most were light slashes from their.. claws?
Eventually, she tired of the losing game she was playing. A strong gust of wind knocked them over momentarily, and she allowed her sword to disappear for a moment. Then she placed her hands on one of their arms, and snapped it.Conjoined twins, one with a head facing front and one facing back— started approaching her afterwards, once an attempt was made to attack them. They only dodge instantly, snickering at any attempt made to take them down. Their hair-like roots quickly swinged towards the Skywing, surrounding her completely from all directions.
At first, her casting of the spell 'wind sphere' worked. Knotting their roots and keeping them away from her. And yet it disappeared, suddenly becoming impossible to sustain. She did not want to cast another spell.
The damsel grinned. Looks like she'd *have* to fight the way she loved to. Speed already high without spells, and strength like a griffon, she would slice them away as soon as they came, jumping throughout the air. Her blade pushed through one of their heads, slicing it clean off. The thrill. She missed it.scheduled without care 6/22 june
