chapter 14: an uneasy greeting

Errors Pov: what was he doing here-

WHAT WAS HE DOING HERE.

"Dream! Your here!" Ink say with an exighted tone, going over to hug the young, happy king.

"Of course! I havent actually visited without being invited in so long! I thought I'd stop by." Dream says, clearly happy as well.

Me and nightmare made eye contact, and I see the hate and anger in his eyes.

He whispers something to chara, who glares at me. Killer doesnt seem to happy either..

"What are you doing here!???" Ink says happily. Dream smiles worriedly before responding

"I heard the old town just outside the main city got flooded. Roemer was that someone was seen getting carried out of the old town and to the castle. I thought I'd come to see if everyone was alright and help out for anyone that might have got hurt!" He says.

"Oh! That's so nice of you!" Ink says before turning to nightmare. Nightmare looks at him with a poker face.

"And nightmare, it's great to see you as well" he says, raising his hand for a handshake.

"Likewise.." nightmare responds with venom in his tone, not raising a finger to shake his hand back.

Ink just awkwardly laughs  before slowly lowering his hand.

"Well, me and everyone was just about to go eat breakfast! Would you guys like to join us?" Ink says with a smile.

Dream respond quickly "we would love too"

Ink smiles and starts walking, we follow. I hear dream whisper something to nightmare. I listen in.

"Cant you please try to be a little nice? Ink really is a nice person.." dream says, sounding a little upset by nightmares attitude.

"I wont change my ways just to make someone else more comfortable. If he doesnt like me, then so be it. That goes for you as well, dream"

"Brother-"

"Shush. I'm done with this conversation"

....

The conversation goes quiet. Dream is a king.. he shouldnt let his brother talk to him like that!

...but at the same time..

Nightmare makes sure people listen.. he has the threatening aura about him. He makes sure people know that he will get what he wants.

Or else.

Its smart not to fight with him. So, despite being king, it's probably best that dream stay out of his way.

But it makes me think..

Nightmare has his way. Hes smart and logical. Why does he have to kill dream? Hes smart enough to find a way to become king without killing dream. So why go through all of this trouble..?

Unless..

Option 1, their no other options for him.

Or....

....Option 2...

He wants to get rid of dream for the heck of it.

....For the laughs..

Everything seemed to slow down as my thought swirled around my head.

I just stared at the floor as everyone walked into a large dining room.

We all sit down and I deside to look up.

The room was large and grand. Red chairs circled around a large, decorated table. Their was a large fireplace on one of the walls with a large clock above it. All the other walls, where tan with white and gold pillars. Artwork littered the walls. Their was a door, leading to the kitchen, so that way the chefs could bring out the food as soon as it was cooked.
