His Little Food Monster Series: Dates

Cake Date

After the Cabin Date, he Gibbs aka Growler had wanted the cake date next after Bishop aka Food Monster had suggested it, after cheekily asking if the rocky road was homemade, full well knowing that he hadn't or even have the time.

It was mid-week when they were in her kitchen,

"Don't even think about it Growler" as she watched her Growler nearly stick his finger in to melted rocky road mixture

"I thought it was chef's prerogative" smiling like a child

"Hmm as I'm the chef of this one"

"Ah nope" holding it high enough so she couldn't reach it.

"I see you'll have to be denied kisses"

He playfully growled and did a sad face.

"So what's next my food monster?"

"It says to let cool and then we add the biscuits, fruit and marshmallows" eating a couple of marshmallows

"Huh if there are any left"

"Oops, there's enough" as she mixed the two together, he put his arms around her waist kissing her neck.

"Enjoying cake date"

"yes" munching her some more

"Good, now pass the tray I need to get this into the fridge"

"Yes Chef"

She made sure it was all equally in the tin and then put that in the fridge. She then turned to see him cleaning the side which did look like a food bomb go off.

He seemed extra focused.

"Growler?"

"Hmm, just want to get this cleaned."

"Will put a cloth down when we dust it with icing sugar"

"Good idea" he growled out

"Hey, you" rubbing his back to calm her Growler.

"Takes me back to Kelly" he whispered as she was now cuddling him around his waste

"Fond memories I hope"

"Very" holding and calming him.

"Hmm so how long till we can eat cake?"

"It says 2hrs"

"huh, that won't do my food monster may faint"

"She may, do you know of a prince that may rescue me?"

"Yes, yes I do. Go sit on the couch"

"What are you up to.."

"Go" pointing to the couch

He delved in to a shopping bag that he had brought over with him.

He then hid it behind his back after getting a fork out

"I think I'm about to faint my Prince"

"Huh Prince Growler to the rescue"

He then revealed the cheesecake he had brought from the shop down at the mall. He knew that it was her favourite place to go for cake.

"Open wide"

He fed her a chunk of strawberry cheesecake

"Wow this is super yummy, is this from where I think"

"Only the best for my little food monster"

"This is yummy my Prince I may not faint after all."

He laughed as they continued eating the cheesecake.

After laying out on her couch for a bit

"Do you think its possible to die from too much cake"

"No I'm a growing Growler, need the energy" he laughed out

"Well I think this maybe it for me" now lying on top of him
He held her tightly

"Well you wont be wanting any of the rocky road then"

"Maybe it will save me.."

He smiled, she then let him get up from there very warm position and he broke off a couple of bits

"Its good my food monster"

"Oh shoot we didn't put the icing sugar on it"

"Tomorrow we shall" she then ate hers nodding at the idea. 

 
"Sugar coma in coming"

"You okay for me to stay?"

"Yes my Prince Growler, I may need rescuing in the night"

The next morning, she got up first to make coffee and did the icing sugar dusting over their home made rocky road.

He was a very tired Growler and after kissing her goodbye he left for work.

When he got there, he delved in to his go bag

He smiled when he noticed the small package for him, which had a note stuck on it which said 

"Cake date was perfect my Growler x"

Opening it he found the pieces of rocky road and had one for breakfast alongside his coffee. He thought he had cleared the icing sugar from his lips before his food monster arrived

Smiling she texted him "Hmm rocky road isn't for breakfast my Growler"

He looked up and smiled clearing his lips he then replied

"I've saved some for lunch, maybe you can kiss the icing sugar off next time x"

She didn't get chance to reply as soon they were knee deep in a case.
