It had been a few days since the last incident with Claire and telling my friends, so it was finally the weekend. We had plans to go on a picnic in the woods today, there was a nice meadow not too far away I had found on one of my runs I wanted to show the group. It was a little chilly outside but I think we all desperately needed to get away from the academy for a bit and have some serenity and spend some time together so everyone had eagerly agreed to tag along. I think even Aiden had agreed to join at some point hopefully.

We had decided that we would meet in the early afternoon which left me with some free time before then to go and investigate the library, I really needed to see if I could find out more about my wolf changing and I was still interested in finding out more about true alphas. Since today was a chill day I decided to dress comfy but cute, putting on some black leggings, brown ankle boots, a cropped stripe top and my brown suede jacket to ward off some of the library's chill. Deciding I was happy with my look I left my room, making my way towards the library. Along the way there was some others milling about the dorms and halls, some of which greeted me warmly, it seems I had gained a bit of a name for myself because of my run-ins with Claire.

Reaching the library I headed in, greeting the librarian and asking her where I can find some books about wolves changing and true alphas, claiming I was following up on some research from my lessons so as not to raise suspicion. The librarian happily pointed me in the direction of some potential books, probably happy to be rid of me so she can go to whatever she was doing.

As I was going in the direction she pointed I happened to catch a glimpse of something that made me stop in my tracks. Vince and Darla. Sat together. Looking rather comfy. I wouldn't have assumed much of it had it not been for the fact that she was laid out with her legs draped over his, and if they hadn't kept sharing glances with each other periodically too. Maybe my match making skills really were working for them then.

I left them there alone, letting them continue on. They would tell me about it when they are ready I'm sure. Looking at the shelves in front of me I found the books the librarian had mentioned, picking a couple off the shelves that looked interesting and settled in a corner chair away from Vince and Darla to start some reading up.

It wasn't long until I grew frustrated, slamming the cover on my current book with a huff. None of these books were telling me anything new, they all just talked about the history and genetics of werewolves, nothing about any changes I was experiencing. And the books about true alphas were even worse, each one offering less information than the last, barely even mentioning anything about what Mrs. Blase had to say.

It was safe to say I was thoroughly annoyed. I didn't have chance to read any more, not that I had the patience too, because it was time at last to meet the group for our relaxing picnic now. I would have to make sure to come back later, and maybe ask our resident bookworm friend if he had come across anything.

The group were already outside waiting on me by time I met them. Even Vince and Darla were here before me, however they were clearly trying to play it cool with each other in front of the group. "Well is everyone ready to head off then now?" I asked, being the only one who really knew the way. I had mentioned where to find it to Aiden should he decide join us later. We had decided to walk there in human form so we could chat, and to be sure that I didn't run into anyone with my large wolf. We would shift later at the meadow where most people didn't venture and we would know before they got too close anyway because it's an open space.

The group seemed in high spirits today, excited about the opportunity for us all to spend some time together relaxing and enjoying the day rather than rushed time as we eat food during a school day.

The meadow was as beautiful as ever when we arrived, the group all murmuring their agreement. The wild flowers looked beautiful today, swaying slightly in the small breeze. I took a deep breath in through my nose, smelling the different scents and the fresh crisp air. This is where I loved to be, this is where all wolves belonged. In the great outdoors with the fresh air and nature. It's why most wolves preferred to build their packs in wooded or large nature areas, only lone wolves and rouges lived in the city really, mingling with the humans.
