My alarm woke me, blaring loudly in my ear, startling me awake. Hitting around to press the snooze button I sat up rubbing my ears from the loud sound, my hearing was getting more sensitive with this change business that was for sure. I must have fallen asleep whilst reading last night. The book didn't have anything else to offer though. It didn't even really mention much more about the shift before changing topics onto alphas in the past.

Realising it was nearly breakfast time I shot out of bed, rushing to get dressed for classes, and ran out of my room the book in hand. I wanted to give it back to Vince, and let them all know I didn't find anything else in it. The whole group, but Hannah, we're sat down at the table enjoying breakfast, they all greeted me happily as I sat down joining them.

It was kind of weird that Hannah wasn't here, she didn't even come to my room as she normally does on a morning, probably part of the reason why I woke up so late today. I shrugged it off though, assuming she was spending time with her new guy, or just feeling weird after yesterday, I know some of the group were still a little unsure about the whole change thing.

That reminded me about the book, I placed it on the table, pushing it over to Vince who looked at it in surprise, not expecting it back so soon. "I read it last night, don't look so surprised" I laughed, "There wasn't much left to read and none of it really shed any light on what the change is for, but it's yours to comb through now, I know you are desperate to" we all laughed at that, knowing exactly what Vince was like with books.

Vince just glared at us all, making us laugh even harder, even Darla was unsympathetic towards him laughing along with us, although I did notice her place a hand on his shoulder in comfort. Vince noticed this too, his glare soon turning into a look of admiration aimed at Darla. No one else in the group noticed but me. Watching them interact together and how close they were getting sent a pang through my heart, both my wolf and I feeling it, I could feel her whine with longing for the same thing with someone. Maybe my mother was right after all, just having someone by your side through tough times was really everything.

Shaking out of my slump it was finally time to head to class, I knew today was going to be a boring day already. I just wasn't in the head space with everything going on to really focus on class today. I hadn't seen Aiden since the picnic, he wasn't around at breakfast and lunch, which was unusual but I could feel something a little off with us ever since I questioned him on Claire's obsession with him. Speaking of her she hadn't pestered us in a while, her threat still hanging in the back of my mind keeping my wolf and I on edge. Hopefully I would see him later today in training and our afternoon classes.

As I walked into my afternoon classes I was one of the first there. As I was taking my seat Aiden walked in and headed in my direction. Expecting him to just take his seat behind me I was surprised when he perched himself on the edge of my desk, capturing my undivided attention. He grinned down at me, which set me on edge a little, he was being very open in front of the class who were slowly filing their way in. "Hi" he finally said to me.

Not understanding what was going on I looked back at him quizzically, hesitant to reply with "Hi" back. The class was nearly full at this point, even Claire had entered, but she wasn't sending any evil glares my way or anything, even with Aiden perched on my desk, which set me even more on edge.

Aiden completely oblivious to my inner turmoil carried on "I was just wondering if you would like to meet up sometime soon and do something? I really enjoyed our picnic the other day, and thought we could do something like that again" this shocked me, he was asking me out in front of the whole class. Something really had to be going on.

Not understanding what was going on all I could do was sit and gape at Aiden, which made him nervous because he started to fidget uncomfortably with the lack of response from me, stuttering out "I mean only if you want to of course, that is if you are interested.."
