As Hannah walked into my room that morning she notified us that today was then day we would finally get to meet Zach. I jumped for joy quite literally as she said that, excited I could finally meet him now that they were getting serious. She said we would get to meet him at lunch time so we were not to be late. I let her order slide happy to finally be meeting Zach.
I think he would make a nice addition to our group. Hannah reiterated when we met the boys at breakfast that we would all be meeting him, and not to mention any of the weird stuff going on at the moment. She wanted to introduce him to us first before she brought up all that stuff. We all more than happily agreed to not say anything. I think it was our way of avoiding it for a little longer. We had done a good job over the last few days, only Vince really putting any effort into reading up on stuff still.
Classes as usual were boring now that the term was slowly starting to come to an end, most of them just wrapping up now and summarising things. I had lost interest in them by now. I did notice though that as we walked between classes that there was a few people missing and some empty seats. I wonder if this was because of the rogue attacks.
Aiden had heard more about it recently, word slowly filtering in from his family. Apparently the attacks had increased and the rogues were appearing to be more organised. I heard that some pack had managed to capture one of them and was trying to get information out of them. The only thing the rogue could and would say was that werewolf kind would never be prepared for what they had next. It's why some students were starting to disappear from classes, their parents pulling them from the school in case of an attack.
The thought of an attack on the academy was worrying but it would be incredibly hard to do so, the fences and patrols that surrounded the academy border would alert us long before anything could reach us. There was also a panic shelter hidden underneath the academy for us to shelter in until back up could reach us. There was a pact with some of the stronger packs that if there ever was an attack on the academy then they would send help. So there was preparations in case of an attack but people thought it was unlikely the rogues would come here. They wouldn't gain as much trying to steal our power as they would taking down an actual alpha.
The information was still alarming though, the teachers were ignoring the fact that students were slowly being pulled out to spend time with their family as the attacks became more unpredictable. The threat of something big coming from the captured rogue setting even the strongest alpha on edge. I couldn't blame them for their actions. But I knew my parents would never pull Jasper and I from the academy because it would make them look weak to show they cared so much. It was hard growing up in a strong pack for sure. Right then I vowed that I wouldn't be like my parents I would do better with my kids.
Dinner rolled around fast as we all filed into the refrec. Everyone but Hannah was already sat at the table waiting patiently for her and Zach to make an appearance. We were already sat enjoying our food when I saw Hannah approaching. Her hand entwined with a tall and rather intimidating looking guy who was trailing behind her as she guided him over to our table. That must be Zach. Studying him he was definitely tall, around 7ft with ginger hair and the brightest green eyes I had ever seen. Looking at him next to Hannah they were compete opposites but they went so well together that they looked like one of those classic picture perfect couples.
Hannah stopped and stood at the top of the table, Zach next to her, and announced "Everyone this is Zach, Zach this is the group, we have Bryan, Cerise, Aiden, Vince and Darla" she introduced us all in order of how we were seated as we all waved at him when she said our names.
I wasn't expecting Zach to say anything but he did as he took his seat next to Hannah on the edge of the table "Well it's very nice to finally meet you all, Hannah has told me so much about you. I feel like I know you all already"
