I'm not sure how long I was out for before I woke up. Someone must have placed me in my room because I woke up there. I opened my eyes to blinding white light, blinking them furiously they adjusted to the light in the room, so that I could actually see.

Glancing around I saw Aiden curled up on the end of my bed asleep, he must have been assigned to guard me. My friends weren't around and it worried me, my wolf was still feeling weak but she was alert at the knowledge our friends weren't here right now. The last thing I remember is seeing Aiden, Vince, and Darla trapped with the rogues. Darla! Remembering how she looked laid their on the ground the panic set in, I needed to find my friends and make sure they are OK.

I slowly sat up, my head spinning slightly with the effort it took, I was exhausted still. Once I didn't feel so dizzy I moved my legs to the side of the bed, placing my feet on the floor, i heaved my body up of the bed. My knees collapsed out from under me as I fell down, managing to catch myself on the edge of the bed before I collapsed in a pile on the floor. Aiden must have heard my pathetic attempt to stand up by myself because he had woken up. He must not have expected me to be awake yet because he panicked when he didn't see me laid in bed where he left me, but calmed down fast when he found me in a mess clinging to the bed a second later.

"What are you doing down there?" He laughed out at me, shaking his head at me he got up and helped me stand up. Sobering up he looked into my eyes "Don't ever do anything like that to me again OK! I can't imagine what I would do if I lost you, I love you" he told me. I could see the love he held for me in his eyes, which were bright with various other emotions too. I could tell he was relieved to see me awake and well because he dragged me into a fierce hug.

"I love you too" I whispered back, breathing his scent in deep and allowing myself a moment. My wolf was still feeling pretty weak but she howled with happiness at us finally admitting our feelings for each other. Hugging Aiden I could feel tingles start to fire down my arms starting with my fingers and it spread to my toes, my wolf perked up with the sensation. I thought I could feel Aiden's wolf too. Pulling back he looked down at me "Did you feel it too?" He asked.

"Yeah, you don't think?" I asked hinting at what it could mean, but I wasn't sure, my wolf was weak which meant we wouldn't feel the full extent of the bond just yet.

Aiden grinned at me "yes Cerise, we are mates!" He shouted with joy, picking me up and spinning me round. I groaned at the movement, moving too fast hurt and I think my ribs hadn't healed completely yet. I laughed shouting at Aiden to put me down, which he did reluctantly.

We looked at each other, staring into the others eyes as we leaned closer to each other. Our lips met in a light kiss, both of us unsure of what to do since we hadn't ever really kissed someone else. But our fears disappeared as we melted into each other and the kiss, sparks spreading out from our lips as we continued the kiss. Eventually we had to pull back for air both of us gasping it in as we just smiled and blushed at each other. That was the perfect first kiss.

I wanted to stand and bask in the joy of our discovery for a little longer but the last things I remember were still playing through me head and I needed to find my friends before I could relax. Aiden must have seen the change in my expression because he said "They're all OK, Darla is in the makeshift hospital healing with Vince by her side and the others are helping out with clean up and with those that got hurt. And I already know what your going to say and I'm not happy about it but I know your alpha instincts won't let you rest until you see them so let's go" he offered me his arm then as support.

I gladly took it still feeling tired, I don't remember what had caused me to pass out, my memory was a little fuzzy but it was coming back to me in parts. I didn't tell Aiden just yet because I know he wouldn't let me go see my friends and I had to be sure. Walking across the quad I could see few things remaining as a reminder of the attack, there was only a few areas of turned up dirt and some blood left. It made me wonder again about how long I had been out for so I asked.
