The hole in my wall he covered with a mirror
The broken floor board got a nice rug
Seems he struggles to be nearer
I do get an occasional hugMy shutter is hanging at an angle
For months now I've watched it dangle
My north window won't open any more
But he did fix my wobbly bedroom door
And the shade tree he planted made my room not as hot anymoreAt bedtime there's a little knock on that fixed door that he says goodnight through
Whispering "Goodnight sweetie, I love you"
Every night, and miss a night never!
And I don't really care if that dumb ole shutter dangles there forever
