Sad stories like the "Donnor Party Tragedy" have challenged our understanding of what humans will endure
These extreme situations, like overcoming the shame of resorting to cannibalism expand our knowledge of what lengths our species will go to to adapt and survive
When arriving to the scene, the rescuers were horrified and shocked to see instead of the traditional foods they were given, the survivors preferred the continued consumption of the members' corpses
What an awful thing
How concerning for the earth's dominant species that we are capable of normalizing things that in our past we would definitely abhor
As to that awareness, I have recently noticed trending disregard to compromise
Compromise is the flowing blood of democracy
The "pretense" to want any parity in this republic is the corpse flesh eating animal lurking under the skin of our society
We actually have it pretty good here because of a democracy that you just don't go get at Wal-Mart
This new thinking is a poor showing for those thought to be their God's legacy
Remember, for a while there, there was a saying you would hear sometimes, "What Would Jesus Do?"
I thought it hilarious to listen to these conversations that would use that phrase
A God of convenience for sure
Hypocrisy is just as easy to come by as bullying, lying, and selfish ignorance
In the big picture, lying is probably the worst crime
Given the shame of failure, some have adapted themselves to a disregard for any compromise
This is just like the religious zealots encountered in our wars in Afghanistan and other places
Did our people bring that back when they returned, not realizing it, ignoring right from wrong?
Wasn't that the enemy's style, no compromise, death to anyone not of their faith?
WOW!
Is this change in Americans supposed to Make America Great Again?
Like my dad used to say, "WHAT A CROCK OF .....!"
