America has never considered Fascism as a solution
Most people believe it was exposed as a failed political and social system
Democracy won World War II
Peace was democratic, maybe even a little bit socialist
History is realized as a benchmark for ideas, good or bad
History has been known to repeat itself if not checked
Walter Cronkite closed with "and that's the way it is" and everybody was good with that
But the truth thread is being pulled, unraveling the American sweater, one arm, then the other until it is not a sweater anymore
Just a pile of mixed up true and false
No time for knitting a new sweater, it's time to choose the next leader
Every four years it's like a new movie, and this time it's a disaster movie
And of course, no one likes any of the actors
The only ones pleased are those who drank the kool-aid laced with tantalizing hate
So, pop your popcorn, grab some red licorice or junior mints, a large Dr Pepper, and get ready because after the cartoons we have had to watch it is time to choose the name of this next disaster movie
Will it be "Sprinkles For Wrinkles" a movie about a curmudgeon who won't retire
Or maybe you prefer "The Brain Dead Kennedy Story" an insane trust fund baby with no experience working anywhere, who bought an election to expand his ant farm
Or maybe you have been waiting and waiting for the release of "The Godfather Part IV" and we can only guess what that will be about
So, enjoy whichever movie you choose
but remember this movie theater is dark, so don't sit next to any orange people, they just might grab your....purse
