"Desert Of Love" is my new name for the roadrunner's Saturday morning soap opera
The coyote lays in wait to ambush the roadrunner, who aware as usual, beep beeps then speeds away in a cloud of dust with a whoosh!
Leaving coyote gazing blindly, again foiledConjuring dark logic, which results will never be realized
He must already know thisThis is more than just a hungry coyote
And sad, but it seems to be groundhog day everyday
This love/hate relationship played out on Saturday morning TVThe coyotes mind flips back and forth
Should he kill the roadrunner or possess him?
Much tensionAnd with the aid of Amazon, I mean Acme Products, every failed trick from the coyote's book will allow this endless saga in the "Desert Of Love"
The children just laugh, unaware of the coyote's sad, tragic obsession
The perilous drama of love lost and love deniedSo stay tuned to see if the coyote really wants to annihilate the roadrunner or just be near him finally
The secret storm in his heart rages to and fro as the world turns at the edge of night. In his search for tomorrow will his puzzled mind need a guiding light?
Will nothing abate the coyote's desperate obsession?
And the roadrunner's lesson of not getting caught does not go unnoticed. As I sit with all my children watching both characters traverse this "Desert Of Love"So until next Saturday, we bid you farewell
BEEP BEEP WHOOSH!
