Whose Time Is It?

Age is great for cheese and wine
I question the value of age when there is  well-educated youth in line to navigate their own changing world

Older leaders often don't know who they are leaders of or their needs
They should be appropriately led
And, if leaders are not up to the rapid change in the country and world, stop trying to lead blindly
Your shift is over it's not your time anymore

Thanks for your service

So go home and play with your grandchildren or great-grandchildren or great-great-grandchildren while you still can

Old leaders, like doctors who have the responsibility of service, must first do no harm
The consequences of not knowing the dynamics of rapid change may allow you mistakes you didn't get into a leadership role to make
Counterproductivity should go right into retirement

Young leaders with children at home especially have their finger on the reality pulse
Knowledge of children's needs doesn't require a seventy year old leader

It's their world now
Many old ways no longer apply
But remember this, young leaders, you are also in line to repeat the problematic endurance of what you now face from outdated selfish "my way or the highway"  older leadership

They must go away now
But, this message is as true for you as them

Age is great for cheese and wine and enjoying grandchildren in their own time
