Sky: War in the Skies (A Sky: Children of the Light AU)

Author's note

As of now, this is still a work in progress. There is no telling of when chapters will be released or if I will ever finish this story.

This is a Sky: Children of the Light alternate universe I've been working on for a long time. I have many other Sky AUs I may show in the future.

Things may change in the future before I finalise the whole story. I may give updates from time to time to see how things are going. If you have any questions you can ask on the Conversation or comment.

I'm still quite new to Wattpad so please be patient. If you have any suggestions please do tell me what I could do.

Update 1 - August 4, 2022 (10:14 PM CST - 10:23 PM CST):
I've officially published chapters 3 - 5 and I'm currently working on chapters 6 - 8. I may add more chapters at some point if I feel like it.

I may edit my previous chapters if I feel like it needs more narration or dialogue. Chapter 1 may need more but I still need to see what I could add.

Update 2 - August 14, 2022 (2:57 PM CST - 3:09 PM CST)

I'll most likely start to edit my published chapters since I feel I would need to rework some parts.

I might start to expose my wattpad account on other social media accounts. And to those who may be reading this right now, I apologize if my writing isn't good or if it needs reworking.

I may take a long time before publishing a few new chapters. I do want to rework my previous published chapters before moving onto my WIP chapters.

Update 3 - August 16, 2022 (8:12 PM CST - 8:14 PM CST)

I made a few edits to some of the published chapters and I plan on doing more after I walk. I plan on publishing a few new chapters this week before I go camping.

Update 4 - October 10, 2022 (12:30 PM CST - 1:40 PM CST)

I haven't given an update in a long time so I might as well give you a long one.

As you might have seen I've published some more chapters and I have two in the works currently. I might as well give you a bit of lore about the characters and some foreshadowing.

- Pythoris has a younger sibling who he hasn't seen in a long time (for those who know who they are is please don't spoil it for others until in the future)

- Lyrinn's older brother originally entrusted her to Thalasso but due to him traveling and going on dangerous quests, Thalasso entrusted her to his close friend Akirianis (the Dayliri leader)

- Syronos is the continued reincarnation of a former skylier leader
- A continued reincarnation is being reborn at the age when the person died but has a different appearance. The person can choose to give up their memories or keep their memories.

- Thalasso is born with two triplet brothers. One of them is older and one is younger. The youngest triplet had disappeared for an unknown reason. The older triplet will play an important part in the story later.

Update 5 - October 13, 2022 (9:34 PM CST - 10:04 PM CST)

Expect some changes to happen to my published chapters after this brief update.

I'll probably need to say this now before I publish the next few chapters.

- I do not have a set age for all the characters and will not have a set age for anyone.
- Every sky kid ages forever so I don't think I would even want to put ages.
- Please do not ask the ages of my characters. This is something I would never answer and I do not have a set age.
- If you have a problem with anything involving the story then you don't need to read it.

Update 6 - October 17, 2022 (5:17 PM CST - 6:07 PM CST)

I'll put this in the lore book in the future but I wanna talk about a few things in this Sky AU

Rebirth System
This system deals with sky children being reborn in the Kingdom of Sky. Sky kids who died in the Eye of Eden Sacrifice Stage will be able to continue their life in the Kingdom of Sky as they are. If any sky kid dies before that part, they won't be able to be reborn unless the light decides to let someone be reincarnated. If a sky kid is chosen to be reincarnated, they can chose to continue their life from the age they are now and keep their memories or they can forget everything and start all over again from a baby.

Aging/Time system
The aging system is different from real life aging. All living beings born have immortal aging, meaning they can age forever. Sky kid years also differ from human years. A century in human years is one year for Sky years meaning most characters are at least over 1000 years in human age. I'll just leave a conversion chart for comparison.

Kingdom of Sky years - Human years
1 year - 1 century (100 years)
1 decade - 1 millennium (1000 years)
1 century - 100 000 Years

Update 7 - October 23, 2022 (5:50 PM CST - 5:55 PM CST)

I published more chapters for you guys to read and I also plan to edit some of my earlier chapters. Pretty short update note but I thought to write a bit.

Update 8 - December 27, 2022 (10:00 PM CST - 10:33 PM CST)

I plan to work on the chapters once more. Since I'm on winter break.

Its been long since I've worked on this story. Hopefully I'll have enough motivation to be able to finish this.

Update 9 - March 3, 2023 (10:16 AM CST - 10:30 AM CST)

How long has it been since I've updated on my author's note?

I've started to add more into my published chapters and I finally posted another chapter which was painful for me to finish. I still plan on adding more to my published chapters such as more info and hopefully figurative language to go with it.

Overall, sorry for not putting an update note in months.

Update 10 - April 2, 2023 (10:31 AM - 10:47 AM)

All chapters are published! The whole main story is officially done. I hope you guys will enjoy the story! I may do some editing from time to time but overall this story is officially finished.

To those who have been reading while I've been still writing this story, thank you for your time and I hope you enjoyed it.

I will be making some sequels and possibly prequels as well to the main story. I hope you guys will enjoy those as well.

A new chapter will begin for Lyrinn.
