Chapter 27 - Memories of the Past

{Two weeks later, Vault of Knowledge, Secret Warrior Base}

[Lyrinn still had yet to recover from her injuries fully but has recovered enough to start training. It did not take long for Lyrinn to return to her peak strength but she continued to train to get stronger. Reyn and Lyrinn started to train together more often. They often spar together as training while Syronos would sometimes keeps an eye on the two.

Galloris and Lyrinn had managed to get along quickly and would often spend time with each other either talking or sparring. When they started going on missions together, Galloris would often stay close to Lyrinn seeming as if he is protective of her. He had started to admire her a lot. However, there was one concern he had with Lyrinn: Her mental wellbeing.

He decided talk to Syronos, Lyrinn's adoptive older brother and her closest affiliate. The two were in Galloris' room having a serious chat.]

Syronos
Sir? You needed to speak to me about Lyrinn?

Galloris
Yeah...

Syronos
Is anything wrong? Did she do anything wrong?

Galloris
No it's just... I've been concerned about her well being. She's a really sweet person and she has helped her peers immensely. But I can't help but think feeling that she's been hiding something. Listen, I've lost both of my brothers and they are both so dear to me, and I bear the responsibility of a warrior organization. Sometimes I feel like it's too much for me to bear as a person. Imagine being Lyrinn... She lost her caretaker Alice, brother Pythoris, Akirianis and my brother Thalasso and she carried the responsibility of handling raids by herself before we took her in, and then she always tells me "I'm fine" or "I'm good". Lyrinn is younger than the both of us and she had to carry the weight of the effect of all those deaths as well as taking care of the kingdom twenty-four seven as a lone warrior. That's a lot more compared to what I do. *Sigh* I'm sorry... I'm just very concerned for her wellbeing. I don't know who to really talk to about this...

Syronos
Hey hey, it's understandable. I'll be honest, I'm concerned for her as well but it's because I'm her adoptive older brother. For your case, I think it's best you find time to talk with her. I don't think she'll have any problem with you talking to her since you two have a good term relationship.

[Recently, a rumor has been spreading across the base that someone was the reincarnation of Alice. It was unknown who started it and why it became a rumor. Although it did not concern the members, many of them were curious. Eventually it spreaded to Lyrinn's and Reyn's attention.

The two were taking a break from hard training. They were both sweaty and exhausted. Sitting on the bench, the two were discussing the rumor.]

Reyn
So... rumor has been going around that someone a part of this warrior group may be Leader Alice. What do you think?

Lyrinn
I don't think it's anything to be concerned about... although.

Reyn
Hmm?

Lyrinn
I would like to meet my caretaker again...

Reyn
I see. Well let's narrow it down. What do you remember?

Lyrinn
Ederi Leader Alice was a blessed one just like me. She is also an Ederi Skylier.

Reyn
Well that does narrow it down pretty good. A blessed one. Should be easy to find. I'll search the right wings, you search the left wings.

Got it.

[Lyrinn and Reyn leave their sparring room. Reyn and Lyrinn go opposite ways to search for the possible reincarnation of Alice. Having look at a sea of members was hard enough. No one had star eyes like Lyrinn's. Lyrinn kept searching for anyone that had star eyes until she heard someone call her. Lyrinn looks behind and sees her brother Syronos.]
