[The three hooded knight generals, arrive in the night of Boneyard City. The city was lit by the bright streetlights and the dim moonlight rays piercing through the clouds. As they walk through the city, some civilians gives odd curious looks to the three. They wonder who these three hooded people were but never approached them. They swiftly head into an alleyway to avoid being looked at constantly. They pause for a moment before proceeding to unhood themselves, revealing their identities as Syronos, Reyn and Galloris.]
Reyn
So... what's the plan?
Galloris
We have to investigate the mud area around the city as well as protect any civilians we see crossing the mud, for the next few days. If the mud monster comes out, defend the civilians as best as you could. Every night we meet back here briefly and discuss what we find. After a week has passed, we will discuss the usual location of the mud monster and we'll eliminate it. Anything I need to go over again or any questions you have?
Reyn
Nope, understood.
Syronos
Understood.
Galloris
Good. Be careful, we don't know how powerful this mud creature could be. If you need to ask me something while we're on duty, be sure to find me as quickly as you can.
[The three depart to the mud perimeter area. Reyn scouts from one of the natural stone structures on the outside area constantly scanning his vicinity. Syronos sits on top of a plateau waiting for the monster to come out. Galloris wanders around the perimeter seeing if he could trigger the mud monster to come out.
Although it was a beautiful night, Reyn could not help but feel lonely as the hours passed. He tries to use his memories of his best friend to ease his loneliness but it only made him more lonely. Reyn shook his head trying to snap out of it but nothing worked until he heard a distorted screech. The loneliness shatters and he soon saw the mud monster attacking a young child.
He puts on his hood immediately jumps into action and lands between the civilian and the monster. Reyn could see that the monster was humanoid resembling a sky civilian. Auras of corruption flowed around the mud monster. The mud monster shows an intimidating smile towards Reyn, although he does not seem to show any sign of being intimidated. The monster soon dashes at Reyn with malice and the two fight. Reyn looks back at the civilian, frozen as ice in fear. Worried, he shouts at the child to head back into the city.]
Reyn
Run! Get back in the city! And don't look back! Understand?!
[The child starts running back to the city. Reyn looks at the child for a bit then immediately turns his focus back on his opponent. He tries his best to try to keep up with the mud monster's attacks and tries to overpower it whenever he could. The mud monster does it's best to keep up with Reyn. It is unknown how long Reyn could hold it off.
With the roaring sound of the civilians running into their houses, Lyrinn wakes from her sleep tired. It took her some time to realize her conciousness. She looks out the window seeing the commotion. Sensing danger, she grabs her staff and her water gem and heads outside partly asleep. However, she soon becomes shocked to notice a battle going on between a cloaked warrior and a mud monster. Lyrinn runs to a nearby guard.]
Lyrinn
Guard the city. Make sure nothing attacks the civilians.
Guard
Yes Miss Lyrinn!
[Without hesitation, Lyrinn quickly rushes to the battle.
As she runs closer to the battle, the hood of the warrior soon comes off, revealing his identity: her best friend Reyn. Shocked and scared for his life, Lyrinn tries to slash the mud monster in two using her magic-borne abilities but the monster barely dodged the slash attack and was knocked out hard by the force.
Reyn looks to his right and sees Lyrinn. The two looked at each other for a while in shock and tears, and then they hug each other.]
Lyrinn
Reyn! My goodness you're alive!
Reyn
I missed you too! I was worried sick about you.
Lyrinn
What happened?! How are you here?!
Reyn
I'll explain later... let's get back in the city-
[All of a sudden, Reyn pulls up a water bubble shielding himself and Lyrinn from a sudden attack and parries it. However, the force of the mud monster's attack knocks Reyn out unconcious. Lyrinn steps in front of the unconcious Reyn looking at the mud monster intimitatingly. The mud monster smiles sinisterly. Eventually, the two start to fight against each other. Polluted mud splattered all over the air.
However, just as Lyrinn had the upper hand, she was badly slashed by the mud monster. She soon points her hand at the monster and focuses her attention towards it.]
Lyrinn
Liberate!
[A ball of light charges towards the mud monster and hits it. The mud monster soon disintegrates into thin air. The aura of corruption is gone. Lyrinn stands but soon falls onto the mud. She notices her slash wound on her torso and was bleeding. A person calls out to her and runs towards her.]
???
Lyrinn!
[Lyrinn turns and sees Fujito worried and shocked.]
Lyrinn
Fujito....
Fujito
What the heck happened!? You're hurt!
Lyrinn
You have to take Reyn... please.
Fujito
I can't just leave you! You've injured yourself too severely!
Lyrinn
Please... don't worry about me. I'll be okay. Please..!
[Fujito looks reluctant to take Reyn but carries him on his back. He looks at Lyrinn with worry.]
Fujito
I'll come back for you... I promise.
[Fujito runs back to the city. Lyrinn watches Fujito slowly getting farther. Her vision starts to blur gradually and her body limps onto the mud. She wonders if this was her demise. Defeated without fulfilling her oath and without finding out what happened to her brother. She soon closes her eyes and accepts her fate.]
Lyrinn
I'm sorry Reyn... I'm sorry Pythoris... I'm sorry everyone...
[Lyrinn falls unconcious.]
