Chapter 23 - Fujito

{Golden Wasteland, Boneyard City}

[Lyrinn receives a knock on the door while she was training. Wondering who it could be, she halts her training and head to the front door. Opening it, she sees a sky kid and immediately recongizes him from when she had saw him running towards her on the day Thalasso died.]

Lyrinn
Oh, what brings you here?

Sky Kid
I need your help.

Lyrinn
Another raid?

Sky Kid
No... something worse.

Lyrinn
What happened?

Sky Kid
There's been a mud monster scaring and capturing civilians and even the creatures.

Lyrinn
That's a huge problem...

Sky Kid
Yeah... I'm afraid my student Travoris and I can't do this on our own.

Lyrinn
I'll help you out.

Sky Kid

[The two shake hands.]

[Lyrinn and Fujito start to walk into the crowds of the city. There were much less civilians walking even during the day. More soldiers are seen walking around the city as well. Winds of fear blow through the air.]

How long has this issue been going on for?

Fujito
About a week now.

Lyrinn
I see... Well we should get this over with so that the soldiers here can rest.

[Suddenly, there was yelling coming from the soldiers. Looking forwards, an army of corrupted soldiers arrive in the city to raid. Fearful Civilians hide in nearby buildings, brave soldiers head towards the corrupted soldiers to defend, Lyrinn and Fujito prepare to fight against the raid.

They enter into the war with a dramatic massive entrance blow on the corrupted soldiers. Alarmed by the sudden entrance, the leading corrupted general comes to the front. An amused laugh comes from the general.]

Corrupted General
Now who do we have here? A young clanless skylier leading an army of soldiers? Pathetic.

Fujito
You take your words back! How dare you offend our blessed hope!

Lyrinn
Fujito don't get worked up.

Fujito
Sorry.

Corrupted General
Blessed hope..? Alright let's see what you got to offer!

[Fujito and Lyrinn start to fight against the Corrupted General. Courageous Soldiers continue to fight to the death against the corrupted soldiers. A fierce battle between the the forces of the kingdom and corruption unbalanced by the atrocity of power. When the battle came to an end, only the general was left, though he was tired from fighting.]

Corrupted General
Damnit! Even this vessel gets tired!

Let's finish the job Lyrinn...

[A memory flashes on Lyrinn's vision, it was the same memory she had of her brother.]
