Chapter 34 - Rebirth

{Isle of Dawn, Beach of Birth}

[Two stars slowly make their decent on the Beach of Birth. It was a purple navy night decorated by thousands of small white lights. Alone, a young girl watches the stars fall gracefully. Her eyes widened in awe as she watched them fall from the sky. A boy and a woman slightly older than the girl walks over to her.]

Boy
Stargazing little sis?

Girl
It's so beautiful! Come here!

Boy
Lemme join! Come on Ellie!

Ellie
Hold on you two haha!

[The three watch as the star slowly make their decent. When they struck the ground. A young man and a young woman appear laying on the sand.]

Ellie
Looks like reincarnates. Stay here you two.

[Ellie slowly walks towards the two laying down. Soon enough they wake up. Their mismatched red and yellow coloured eyes glow.]

Young Man
You okay?

Young Woman
Mhm.

Ellie
Hello?

Young Man
Oh hey.

Young Woman
Hey.

Young Man
We just arrived back here. Is everything alright miss?

Ellie
Oh everything's alright. My two little friends here have been stargazing.

Girl
*gasp* She's so pretty!

Boy
Who are they?! What are their names!?

Ellie
*giggle* hold on kids. Ah... I forgot it's night. Let's get you two inside. Come on kids we're heading inside!

[Everyone gathers and heads to Ellie's house. Ellie gets the kids to bed and gives the two young people clothing to change in. After changing, the three sat down on a table. Ellie offers them tea and biscuits which they gladly accept.]

Ellie
I apologize, I haven't got much. It was unexpected.

Young Man
It's all right Miss.

Ellie
It's been a while since I've had such a conversation.

Young Woman
How are the raids?

Ellie
It's weird, the raid just stopped coming. They were frequent these past few months until recently they stopped.

Young Man
That's good to know.

Ellie
Are you two siblings?

Young Man
Yes, the lady is my younger sister.

Ellie
I see... you two appear to be skylier as well... how unusual. Wait a minute.

[Ellie looks at the young woman's face and finds it very familiar to her. She studies the woman's face and then finally realizes who it is. Ellie is shocked to see that the young woman is Lyrinn.]

Ellie
Lyrinn? Is that you?

[The young woman is surprised but nods.]

Lyrinn
Yes, it's me.

Ellie
But how? Leader Primo announced that you were dead!

Lyrinn
My brother and I both died in the Area of Sacrifice.

Ellie
The Area of Sacrifice?! But how? That place has been long forgotten and sealed away. Very few know of that place... How do you two know about it?

Young Man
Lyrinn and I fought in that area...

Ellie
I see... Brother of Lyrinn... may I ask who you may be?

Young Man
I'm Pythoris...

Ellie
I see... I feel like that name is familiar as well. If it's not rude of me to ask, what has caused you two to fight?

Pythoris
It's not rude of you to ask... I think everyone deserves to know what happened.

[Pythoris takes a bit of time to sip some tea and then he starts to explain.]

Pythoris
My former caretaker Leader Alice had a curse she got from killing her older brother, a former Ederi Leader as well as my adoptive uncle, Allister. Allister had a the same curse as Alice it it was passed onto his sister. The curse would infect anyone who manages to kill the vessel of the corruption source and would slowly take over the vessel until they are corrupted. Unfortuntely, I found that out after I had killed my own caretaker who became fully possessed by the corruption. A few years have passed and the corruption started to grow on me. I was scared for my younger sister. I didn't want to put her in danger so I decided to seal myself in the Eye of Eden and fight against my own curse. When the time came, I took Lyrinn with me so that she would use her power to seal me behind. It was hard for me but I knew it had to be done.

Lyrinn
That time I was a toddler... at that time I did not understand why he was asking me to do that but I knew what to do... After I sealed him behind that door, I did not see him for more than a decade.

Pythoris
After that decade has passed, corruption finally took over my body but even then I still tried to fight. Until that day when Lyrinn and I finally had our last battle, that was when it was all over.

Ellie
That... must've been so hard for you two. I can't imagine being separated from a sibling or even a friend!

Pythoris
It was...

Lyrinn
What matters is that... we're finally together again. I fulfilled my oath and it brought a great success.

Ellie
I'm glad things got better for you two.

[Ellie smiled in relief.]

Ellie
You two should sleep. One of you can sleep on the couch.

Pythoris
Lyrinn you go to bed. Miss... I should let you sleep.

Ellie
No need sir. I'll be okay. It's the least I can do for you two.
