Chapter 12

"Hindi na safe ang mga estudyante ngayon, gayong naka-labas si Erineus." Rinig kong salita ng isang babae, I think it's Professor Whitlock, our Healing Subject Teacher.

"Hindi siya makaka-labas nang walang kasabwat, Professor Whitlock." Saad naman ni Head Master.

Erineus? Who's Erineus, by the way?

I opened my eyes and slowly sit down. They both looked at me and stopped talking. Hinawakan ko ang aking ulo at naramdaman na may benda ito. Bakit nga naman may benda ang ulo ko?

"May nangyari po ba?" I asked while massaging my head, iniisip kung bakit ba ako may benda sa ulo? Maybe, na-untog lang ako tapos nawalan ako ng malay, ganoon.

"Can't you remember?" Professor Whitlock asked. I shooked my head. I'm trying to remember ngunit, hindi ko talaga ma-alala. "Don't force yourself, take a rest."

"I already did. Kaka-galing ko lang sa tulog," sabi ko at umalis sa pagkaka-higa. "Pwede niyo bang sabihin sa akin ang nangyari?"

"Are you sure?" I looked back at Head Master as I was pouring some water at the table. May pitsel kasi roon tapos may baso, nasa clinic yata ako.

"Yeah,"

"The game," panimula ni Head Master. Natigilan ako sa pag-inom ng tubig at lumingon sa kanila. Ah! Yung game!

I was the one who gets the first key and the second one is Sevi and the third one... Binaba ko ang baso sa lamesa at hinawakan ang ulo ko.

Bumalik ang mga ala-ala kung bakit nandito ako ngayon sa clinic. Mag-simula sa unang game, sa pangalawa at pangatlo kung saan nahiwalay ako kay Sevi at napunta sa ibang lugar.

Both, Head Master and Professor Whitlock went to me at inalalayan akong bumalik sa kama.

"Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm okay." Sagot ko nang mawala na ang aking sakit sa ulo. "I do remember now,"

"It's better to not go out of the school now, Alterio. Stay in the school, I'll also tell the students to not go out. It's dangerous," Head Master said.

"Why? Is the man that I met... really dangerous?" I asked, confused.

Head Master just smiled and said that I should take a rest and they'll leave me. I just went to the bed and covered my self a blanket when Celes and Persephone barge inside the clinic.

"Okay ka lang ba? May masakit ba sa'yo?" Mabilis na tanong ni Celes at parehas silang pumunta sa may gilid ko.

"I'm fine, don't worry." I assured them.

"It's been 6 hours, buti naman at nagising kana. We were really worried. What happened?"

"I... Nevermind, at least buhay pa ako 'di ba? So, how's the game?"

"Tinigil na muna ni Head Master ang laro nang may mangyari sa iyo. Na-aalala mo ba kung saan ka napunta?" Tanong ni Celes. I can't tell them, I don't want them to worry.

"Pwede na yata akong lumabas dito, kain muna tayo?" I said, changing the topic. They helped me get out of the bed and we went to the cafeteria.

Hindi ko na nga na-sunod ang sinabi ng Head Master na magpa-hinga tsaka hindi na rin naman ako maka-tulog and I'm hungry, you know.

"Hey, ayos kana ba?" Ace asked when we went to their table. I smiled and nodded. Na-upo ako sa may bakanteng upuan at na-ilang naman ako sa tingin ng apat na lalaking ito.

"Hmm, what?" I asked them.

"Tell us, what happened." Sevi said while his arms are crossed.

"I.. can't remember it," I lied. It's good that they don't ask anymore so they just shut up. Persephone offered me some food and I accepted it.
