Disclaimer: None of the pictures used as character references are mine.

Make note that the characters in the book may not match the images, but they are meant to give a little bit of visual aid for those who wish.

Personally I do enjoy it when books give the characters some sort of visual representation, as in my mind it serves to further strengthen my imagination and solidify how a character is "supposed to look". However, for readers who prefer to make up their own pictures of this book's characters, there is no information here which you need to know to understand the story, so it is completely fine to skip to the next part.

Now, on to the characters.

A clerk who works at the guild. Her appearance makes it easy to mistake her for an elf, although she is very much human. Due to a combination of her love for connecting with both new and old faces, as well as her bubbly personality, Linda is easily the most popular guild clerk in town. Although most people won't look past her outer personality and facade, if one were to delve into her past, one might find out a dark secret or two.

Kade Adler

Grown up at and helping at the family-farm, the most exciting time of the year for our protagonist had always been the harvest festival, but other than that, the pace of life for Kade Adler has always been at either a standstill or barely moving

Grown up at and helping at the family-farm, the most exciting time of the year for our protagonist had always been the harvest festival, but other than that, the pace of life for Kade Adler has always been at either a standstill or barely moving. That is, until his family was forced off their land after a time of drought, and he had to become an adventurer. A weak adventurer, but an adventurer nonetheless.

A former B-ranked adventurer and current mage who has taken up living as a hermit. She has a pretty cheerful and optimistic personality as a friend, but as a master, she can be pretty harsh. To our protagonist Heather seems to be an expert in whatever she does, but where she truly excels is in enchanting, getting her way, and cooking using strange ingredients. While her physical skills are that of a B-rank, using magic, she can easily beat most opponents one rank above herself.
