Chapter 3

Mariana's POV

I'm in my hospital bed wondering if Ana and Jesus are ok when the door opens.

"Mariana!" yells Jude, running towards my bed, giving me a hug. "Are you ok?"

"I'm fine Judicorn," I say. "How 'bout you?"

"I'm good. In a bit of shock, but good."

"What about you guys," I ask everyone else.

"I'm good," says Callie. "Robert signed the papers."

"Really," I say almost screaming.

"Yep," says Stef. "We're adopting after school ends."

"Yay," I say. Then the nurse walks in. "Time for the pain killers. You guys should probably go see Jesus. These make me pretty tired. How is he?"

"He's fine," says Lena. "So are Ana and the baby. But Ana wants to keep her."

"Oh," I say. "You know what. I think this time she might actually be a pretty good mom. Just as long as we get to have a relationship with her and the baby."

"Of course," says Lena. "Now get some rest. We'll see you later."

"Ok, bye," I say.
