Chapter 37

Jude's POV

"Bye," I say to Nick and Aaron.

"Bye," says Nick. "We'll keep in touch."

"Definitely."

"We better go," says Aaron. "Bye." Aaron and Nick wave to us and get on their bus.

"I can't believe this is it," says Connor. "I had so much fun here! I can't believe it's already time to go!"

"Yeah," I say. "I'm gonna miss this place."

"Come on," yells Ella. "The bus isn't going to wait forever."

"Coming," I say. Connor and I walk onto the bus and sit down.

After everyone got on the bus, it started moving. We all took one look last look at the camp as the bus drives away from it. We drive away and I take one look back at the giant sign with the camp's name.

"It's really over," I say.

"Yeah," says Connor.

The rest of the ride we talk and watch a movie. Everyone talks about how much they're going to miss camp and all the fun things they did.

Before I know it, we're getting off the bus and getting our bags. I try to get my bag from under the bus but it's too heavy.

"Need some help," asks Connor.

"Is it that obvious," I ask. He bends down and picks up my bag for me. "You didn't have to do that."

"Yes I do."

Connor picks up his bag, and we walk over to Louise and Ella.

"How was it," asks Louise.

"Amazing," I say.

"So much fun," says Ella.

"We had a blast," says Connor.

"I'm sure you did," says Louise. "But I think you all need a rest now. You've had a busy couple of weeks. And Connor and Jude are leaving tomorrow, so they'd better get some rest before their flight."

We put our bags in the car and drive home. Once we get there, Connor takes my bag and his bag, and we walk into the house. Ginger greets as all as we walk in.

"Hey girl," says Ella, scratching Ginger on top of her head.

Connor and I walk upstairs and put down our stuff. Then we sit on my bed in silence.

"You ready to go home," asks Connor, breaking the silence.

"I think so," I ask. "But I'm going to miss Ella and Louise."

"Same. Maybe we could come her during winter break. You know. Get to see some actual snow."

"Yeah. Or they could come visit us. They could get a break from the cold."

"Yeah. We're definitely going back to camp next year."

"Definitely. I'm pretty tired. I think I'm going to take a nap."

"Me too."

"See you at dinner."

"Probably not. I'm just going to sleep all day."

"Ok. Good night then."

"Good night Jude."
