Chapter 53

Connor's POV

"Is everyone here," asks Stef.

"Yep," says Mike.

"Then let the games begin!"

"What games," asks Jeremy. Jeremy was now living with Mike. Mike got a foster license and was fostering Jeremy.

"The Annual Foster Thanksgiving Challenge," says Jesus. He was back from boarding school for the holiday's.

"That's correct," says Stef. "For the next week, each day will be filled with competition. And the winning team gets bragging rights and the leftovers of Momma and Gram's turkey."

"Why would leftover turkey be a prize," asks Jeremy.

"Oh, you'll see once you've tasted Gram's famous turkey," says Dana.

"Ok," says Stef. "Time to tell you the teams. There'll be 2 teams. Team 1 is Adam, Connor, Jude, Sharon, Jeremy, Mike, and Lena. Team 2 is me, Jesus, Mariana, Dana, Stewart, Brandon, and Callie.

"The rules of the game are as follow: No cheating, no sabotage, no leaving the house, and have fun!"

"Wait," I say. "What's with the 'no leaving the house' rule?"

"If you leave the house, you could go to the store and buy things that could help you win certain games," says Lena.

"Huh?"

"For example, on Thanksgiving Day, we have a pie baking contest. Everyone has to use the same exact ingredients. If you were allowed to leave the house, you could go get extra ingredients."

"We'll have to find room for everyone to sleep," says Stef. "I'm sure we can find room."

"There weren't as much people last year," says Mariana. "I now have 3 more people I have to share a bathroom with."

"Actually," says Lena. "This year we've decided that since we have so many people, Stef and I will share our bathroom, too. All the adults will use our bathroom, and all the kids will use the other."

"We'll figure out the sleeping arrangements tonight," says Stef. "But for now, let's start the first challenge!"

Sorry this was short. A lot of the upcoming chapter may be kind of short. But it's kind of like multiple parts. Each chapter will be about a different day and the challenge they do that day.
