Chapter 9

Connor's POV

After Daria walks away, Jude and u start walking to Lena's office. I can't believe I didn't say anything. I just stood there like an idiot.

"So," says Jude, "are we going to make the deal with Daria."

"No," I say. "I will not go back to her."

"But then she'll tell the whole school about us," he says, a worried look in his eyes.

"No she won't," I assure him. "Tomorrow we'll walk into school, hand in hand. I don't care what people think. It's time we let people know."

"How will we walk hand in hand when you have to hold your crutches," asks Jude.

"I only need to use one crutch," I tell him. "I just use two so it's easier to balance. Tomorrow, I'll use one crutch, and you can hold my hand that isn't holding the crutch."

"Okay," says Jude, as we reach Lena's office. "Hey mom."

"Hey sweetie just let me pack up my stuff and we can go," says Lena.

Jude's POV

When we get home, Connor and I go straight to the living room. We don't want to take the chance of getting yelled at by Jesus.

"How do you think your family will react when you tell them about us," asks Connor."

"I don't know," I say. "They'll definitely be supportive though. Mariana will be ecstatic. I'm just worried about Callie. I mean, she'll be supportive, but also worried."

"How do you know," asks Connor.

"When I wore the nail polish, she asked me to take it off because she was scared I would get hurt."

"Oh," says Connor. "Well I'm done with my homework."

"Same," I say. "Want to play some video games.

"Sure," says Connor.

We play for about half an hour until Connor finally wins.

"No fair," I say. "You cheated!"

"I did not!" Connor says.

"Boys, dinner," says Lena.

"Coming," says Connor. "You ready."

"Yep," I say.

We walk into the kitchen and sit down. Callie, Brandon, Lena, and Stef are already there. Jesus and Mariana walk in a couple minutes after Connor and I did.

"So," says Stef. "How was everyone's day?"

"Good," says Callie.

"Same," says Brandon.

"Anything interesting happen," asks Lena. Connor and I look at each other. This was it.

"Actually," I say, "I do have something to tell you."

"What is it love," asks Stef.

"Connor and I are," I hesitate. "We're together."

"OMG Judicorn that's great!," Mariana screams. "If it wasn't so hard to walk I would give you a hug right now!"

"Jude's got himself a man," says Jesus. "Just don't do anything on my bed." I give him a look of disgust and Connor giggles.

"Ew," I says. "We haven't even thought about that."

"Well, even if you haven't thought about it, we're still going to have set some rules," says Lena. "But we'll talk about it after dinner.

"Look, says Callie. "I'm happy for you. Just be careful."

"Don't worry," says Jesus. "He's got Connor, Brandon, and I to protect him."

"Actually, I have Brandon," I say. "You were just in a car crash and Connor just got shot."

"Whatever," says Jesus. "But if anyone hurts you, I won't hesitate to protect you."

"Same," say Connor and Brandon at the same time.

"Looks like you guys have a Jonnor army," says Mariana.

"A what army," Connor and I ask, looking at Mariana, a confused expression on both of our faces.

"I'll explain it later," she says.

The rest of dinner is filled with small talk about Brandon going to Idyllwild and if Jesus would still be able to wrestle.
