Chapter 13

Connor's POV

"Did you see that coming," I ask as Jude and I walk towards his house after school.

"See what coming," asks Jude.

"Jeremy," I say. "I didn't think he was gay. He doesn't seem gay."

"Stef didn't think you seemed gay."

"We showed her," I say and surprise him with a kiss.

"What was that," asks Jude.

"Nothing," I say.

"Sure. Hey you want to sleep over on Friday?"

"Sure. Just let me ask my dad." I take out my phone and send him a quick text.

"Hey," says Jude. "How's you're dad feeling about us?"

"I think he's getting used to it," I say. Then my phone rings. It's a text from my dad saying I can sleep over. "He says I can sleep over."

"Cool," says Jude. He starts running. "Last one home had to get the snacks."

"Hey!" I yell. "No fair! You don't have to run with crutches!"

Time Skip to Friday Night

Jude's POV

After we eat dinner, Connor and I go upstairs to play video games.

"No closed doors," yells Lena.

"We got it," I yelled. Connor and I walk into my room and sit on my bed. "It's not like we're even thinking about that anyway."

"They're just trying to protect you," says Connor. "And you may not think about that, but unlike you, in a normal teenage boy."

"Stop it," I laugh, giving him a slight push. "Come on. Let's play some video games."

I pick up the tablet and Connor and I start playing some random games. After a while we get tired and decide to go to sleep.

"Jesus is sleeping downstairs, so you can take his bed," I tell Connor.

"Ok," he says. He takes out his pajama shirt and takes off his regular one. For the first time I realize how muscular he was. "What?"

"Nothing," I say. He must of realized me staring. "I just don't understand how a 13 year old boy can have a six pack."

"My dad goes to the gym a lot and insists on bringing me."

"Oh. Maybe I could go with you some time. I could use a little muscle. Right now I'm all skin and bones."

"It's weird to think of you with muscles. I'm so used to you being the skinny shy kid. When I heard how you stood to my dad it shocked me."

"I'm not a kid anymore. I think I can stand up for myself."

"Woah. Ok. Didn't mean to offend you."

"It's ok." I get into bed and get under my covers. "Good night Connor."

"Good night Judicorn."

"Don't," I say.

"Why not? It's cute." I throw a pillow at Connor.

"Go to sleep."

"Ok. Good night Jude."
