-Chapter Twenty Four-

Phil and finally after a couple more months brought Dream back to the main part of the SMP. He had to go run some errands leaving Dream and Tommy to their own.

The two left Phil near the community house and ran off towards Tommy's old house.

Things were a lot better, of course there are still a couple people who think Dream deserves to be in there, then Quackity and Sam who are trying to figure out how to get the sheep hybrid back.

Tommy had fixed up his house a while back, but he wanted to change it up again. A new Tommy ark comes with a new Tommyinnit house.

"What's your idea?" Dreams voice was soft as he looked at Tommy with calm eyes, genuinely interested in Tommy's house.

As Tommy was explaining something popped into the younger blonds mind, one thing that hasn't been resolved between the two... Tommy had his discs back, shroud was safe (from Dream atleast), Tubbo was safe, Tommy promised to cause...less..trouble, Tommy's family had become Dreams family which forced them closer, and Tommy found out Dream kept some of his stuff from exile for him! But.. there was one last thing that ramped up the wars...

"Tommy..?" Dream shook the younger blond noticing he had zoned out, "Tom!"

The young blond snapped back to reality, "sorry! i just..." he lost his words as he tried to think of what to say "remembered something?" Tommy pushed by the confused Dream and walked into the house. "We haven't fully resolved everything" Tommy spoke when Dream followed him in.

"I...don't follow?" Confusion was clear in Dreams voice. "I thought.. I thought we cleared it all up." Dream leaned against the door frame.

"We did!" Tommy smiled at the sheep hybrid before turning his back to him and digging through his enderchest. "Except for..." he trailed off still looking for the item. "Aha!" Tommy pulled out a horse shoe.

Seeing the item caused an immediate reaction from Dream. A soft gasp. The horse shoe which fueled the fire in the wars, the horse shoe that caused a rip in Dreams closest friendship, the horse shoe that belonged to his deceased horse...

"Spirit.."

Tommy nodded his head with a mixed smile between happy and sad. "I uhh.. also have their hide.. but I thought that was a bit...insensitive?"

Dream let out a breathy laugh, nodding his head. The formally masked man walked up to Tommy grabbing the horse shoe from his hand holding it in front of him.

"I never bonded with another horse.. never could." He spoke staring at the horse shoe. "I always just borrowed Punz's horse, didn't want anymore attachments than I needed." Dream pocketed the horse shoe, motioning towards Tommy's enderchest.

The boy nodded hesitantly, opening the chest and fishing out the nice cleaned white horse hide. Sapnap had done it so they could have the little monument.

Dream smiled as he took it from Tommy's arm. It was just a part of the hide, small enough to fit into the chest. "Thank you Tommy.. Really." Dream titled his head to the side causing hair to fall as well with a dopey little smile. "You've truly matured." Dream said as he walked over to the table rolling the hide so it was easier to carry.

The mention of him 'maturing' made Tommy let out a small laugh.

"What are you talking about! I've always been a big man!" Tommy crossed his arms over his chest letting out a small 'hmph' and rolling his eyes.

"We'll clearly not right now your literally pouting 'big man'" Dream hit Tommy's shoulder in a friendly-ish way. He put enough into so it would push Tommy but not enough to make him fall.

"I AM SO A BIG MAN! AND BIG MEN DO NOT POUT!"

Dream shook his head laughing.

"Let's just get building Tommy"

Sorry this is so short :( I just wanted to get a chapter out cus I think it's been a bit.

Back when my horse died a bit back, I kept his horse shoe so I thought that would be cute :) I've never heard of people keeping their horses hide, but that's literally cannon. The leverage Tommy had was spirits leather.. so I decided to add both! :D

I've been having a lot of ideas for angst so I'm probably gonna work on my angst story a bit while trying to get inspiration for this book!
