Fire Flies

(A/N Yep, this chapter is inspired by the song 'Fire Flies' by Gorillaz!)

10:50 P.M

2D's POV:

I was super close to home! I felt so dizzy and out of it already but a part of me was so happy. I felt drunk...love drunk almost because I was so caught in my head. It almost didn't even feel normal. I felt like I was falling with every step I took.

Y/N's POV:

I stood up from the porch, sore and empty. I looked down at my feet, and started to tear up. Stuart never came. I was about to open the front door when I decided to still wait, I dont know why but I felt it in my gut to just wait. I didn't want to wait here though maybe Stuart would want me to wait in our secret hide out! Perfect! I speed walk almost running to our hide out. I find the ladder and begin to climb up.

2D's POV:

Once I got to the street of the Studio I saw a fire fly appear right in front of me.

"Woahh." I said with widen eyes as it shined brighter in my face. My eyes squinted as it did so. The yellow light was so pretty, it then began to fly into the woods, I just stood there. It then came back to me almost telling me to follow it. I didn't know what to do so I just follow it.

I was ever chasing fireflies...

"Sometimes, I follow a firefly he takes me into the night." I began to sing quietly as I followed the firefly. The words just flew into my mouth without me thinking. It took me deeper into the woods.

"Baby, I just survive. I'm love drunk, I'm sorry. I'm I loosing you?" I thought about Y/n, how she might have been waiting for me this whole day...I disappointed her for coming this late.

Lost into my words and thoughts i look up to the firefly...it took me to the secret hide out! the firefly flew up so I began to climb the wooden ladder.

Once I made it to the top I saw Y/n looking down in the distance. I got close behind her to see what she was looking at. The whole place was full of fireflies, the place was like shining gold coins in the air. I then wrap my hands around Y/n's waist.

"I'm back." I quietly said. She let out a gasp and stared at me for a second before saying anything.

"STUART!" She hugged me almost making me fall down.

"You're back!" You're back!" She said stilling holding onto me digging her face into my chest, I got butterflies in my stomach......more like fireflies in my stomach. ;)

"S-sorrey for keeping you waiting luv. I-i-i-" She cut me off with her finger

"Shh stu, you're back home! That's all that matters." She said. I squeezed her. I then look up to the fire flies and lead her to the edge.

"Told yew." I said looking at all the fire flies surrounding us. I saw Y/n's eyes glisten, the way her face glowed with the shining fireflies. I smile softly.

"Its beautiful." She said quietly

"Et sure is luv." I hold her closer to me. I wasn't in the best physical state right now but Y/n made me forget all about it.

"Lets chase fireflies!" I said holding her. Her eyes widen with excited

"Yes! Yes!" She said as we both climbed down. We walked into the woods, sparkling stars around us! It was so beautiful. I then felt Y/n interwind her hand with mine, I look down and my face heats up.

"Sometimes I follow a firefly~

He takes me into the night~

Baby I just survive, I'm love drunk~

I'm sorry, am I losing you?" I quietly sang. Y/n looked at me.

"Your voice is so beautiful Stu...how do you come up with lyrics so fast? You are so clever." She hugged me gently resting her face on my chest. Her statement made me blush

"f-fank yew luv! I'm not the s-smartest though..." I said while looking down.

"Oh but you are Stuart! You are perfect." She hugged me again. I hugged her back. We both looked up at firefly covered sky. Their lights dimmed and then shined in different ordered which felt like a million Christmas lights wrapping around us both. I rest my chin on Y/n's head and close my eyes.

"Im so happy you are back Stuart." Y/n said in a gentle tone.

"I'm happy i'm back wif yew." I said with my eyes still shut.

The cold misty wind brushing against my face while the gentle sound of crickets fulfilled. I open my eyes again, the weight of stress from my shoulders dropped. I felt so at peace with Y/n. I was happy. So happy.

"Lets go inside Stu, get some rest." Y/n rubbed my back. Chills went up my spine

"Oh yea! I'd love tha'" I said holding her hand gently.

We both walked off, the fireflies still in the air dancing and glistening into the sky.

Y/n's POV:

All I want to do is just stay with him, and never let him go. I look up at Stuart and a firefly sits on his little pointy nose, I giggle. His eyes widen as the firefly shines bright.

"I'm tha' chosen one!!" Stuart said still looking at it.

"You sure are!" I giggle

The firefly then flies off into the sky. I hold stuarts arm closer to me as we both walk into the studio.
