One of Us

"Douglas, have you seen Leo? He's late for training." Chase said as he, Adam, Bree and Jodie walked into the common area.

"Why don't you just call him?" Douglas suggested.

"Ugh, too much work. Let's just kick him out of the academy." Adam said.

A phone rang and Leo popped up on the screen, connecting to a video call. "Hello." Leo greeted.

"Leo, what are you doing back in Mission Creek? You're supposed to be here for training." Chase said.

"Sorry, I had to pop back and deal with a little situation. Janelle missed me. You ladies can be so needy." Leo said.

"She threatened to break up with you, didn't she?" Jodie said, trying not to laugh.

"It was implied." Leo answered as a doorbell rang. "Ah! She's here!" Leo exclaimed and hung up.

"Can you believe him? Skipping his training to hang out with a girl?" Chase said, looking at the other three.

"What are you complaining about? You two sneak off and skip training all the time." Bree said, gesturing to the couple in front of her, who only stayed silent.

The hydraloop then opened behind them, S-1 stepping off. "Aaah! It's her!" Douglas yelped. The students immediately got into fighting positions.

"Hey, you look familiar. Do I know you from somewhere?" Adam asked, looking at S-1.

"Adam, that S-1. Krane's lead soldier. Remember she tried to destroy us?" Jodie said, her hands glowing blue with magic.

"Oh, yeah. What do you say we finish the job and get out of here?" Adam asked, leaning towards S-1, receiving eye rolls from the other three.

"What are you doing here?" Chase asked.

"I figured since this is the Bionic Academy, you're the only people who might be able to help. Something's wrong with me." S-1 explained.

"She just noticed?" Jodie mumbled.

"Yeah, we already know that, Psycho Sally. You tried to crush Leo and take us all out." Bree said, gestruing to her brothers and Jodie.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what you're talking about." S-1 said, confusion written all over her face.

"Of course she doesn't. She's a blank slate, just like the rest of the soldiers were." Douglas said.

"Why weren't you rounded up with everyone else?" Chase asked.

"All I know is that I woke up in a field, and this family found me and took me in. And when they discovered I was bionic, they freaked out, so I ran away and I've been hiding ever since." S-1 explained.

"I don't believe her." Jodie said, crossing her arms.

"Well, why would she lie? Krane's no longer controlling her mind with the Triton App, so she has no reason to be evil." Douglas said.

"Oh, yeah? Well that's what we though about Sebastian, too. And we ALL know what happened there." Chase said.

"We get it, he broke your heart. Let it go." Adam groaned.

"Look, if you don't believe me, remove my chip. Then there's no way I can hurt you." S-1 offered. Douglas then held up the chip extractor and removed the girl's chip.

"All clear. But you might wanna have that mole checked out." Douglas said.

"All right, now that we know you're telling the truth, what exactly is wrong with you?" Chase asked.
