No Going Back

"I'm so glad school's over! Mrs. Thistle talked for an hour in history. I mean, she's 90. Does she really need to waste all that breath?" Bree asked as her and the other three superhumans made their way down the stairs at school. Adam made a weird facial expression.

"What's all this?" Chase asked as they stopped in the hallway.

"Listen up, frogspawn! Security check. Put all metal objects in the bucket and proceed to the wands for a more thorough search." Perry explained.

"Perry, what's going on?" Jodie asked.

"Somebody's been stealing computers from the computer lab and I'm gonna bust the perp. Or perps." Perry said and looked at the four superhumans. "Bottom line, nobody leaves this school without going through those metal detectors. And now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to sort through your loose change and have a little heart to heart with the vending machine." Perry said and walked away.

"Guys, we cannot get wanded. Those things will go off like crazy if they detect out bionics." Bree said, looking at her brothers.

"Well, what are we going to do? She's totally going to bust us." Chase said.

"Bust you for what? What are you hiding little bo peep?" Perry asked, walking up to the four.

"He's not hiding anything." Both Bree and Jodie said.

"Well, he does have an unusually large birthmark on his left hip. If you stare at it long enough, it kind of looks like Justin Bieber." Adam said.

"Let's go. Empty your pockets." Perry said, dragging Chase over to the security check station.

"Principal Perry..." Chase tried.

"Comply perp! Wand him." Perry said. The lunch ladies scanned Chase. The wands then went off when they reached his neck. "Well, what do you know, we got one. Flank him girls, the little ones always put up a fight!" Perry said.

"Everyone else cleared the checkpoint hours ago. So why do you four flashback keep setting it off? You may not have the laptops, but you're hiding something." Perry said, then gasped. "Maybe another pat down from Carol and Deb will make ya talk." Perry said.

"No. No. We're good. The first one already scared me for life." Bree said.

"Don't move. Nobody's going anywhere until I get to the bottom of this." Perry said and walked away from the four.

"Why do you keep setting the wands off? You're not bionic." Bree said, quietly to Jodie.

"I don't know. Probably a metal joint I have on my wrist." Jodie said, shrugging.

"Guys, we have to get out of here." Chase said.

"Relax, we just have to wait her out. There's no way Perry can actually see our bionics unless she rips our skin off." Adam said.

"Have you met Carol and Deb? I'm sure it's in their will house." Jodie said.

"Great news!" Perry exclaimed as she walked back to the four.

"You're letting us go?" Bree asked.

"No! I made a call to my friend Chuck over at airport security and he's gonna let me borrow an X-ray machine!" Perry explained.

"You have a friend at the airport? Well ask him is he'll let me pass out peanuts from the 5-10 to Denver!" Adam said.

"Once I get that machine, it'll show what you're hiding. Wherever it is you're hiding it." Perry said.

At the house, Donald was at his desk when he saw Leo walking down the stairs.
