  It has been about a month since Shoyo has seen his mom.

Ever since that day, he had been thinking a lot about everything and quite honestly was struggling with trying to figure out what to do.

He would be lying if he said this hasn't taken a tole on his mental health, a part of him doesn't want to reach out, given all of the thing from the past. But then the other part wants to, and thinks it's selfish not to.

So it's safe to say, that this is a constant mind battle for him.

Tobio has tried his best to help out however he can, by comforting him and talking to him whenever he saw he was struggling.

Today though, Shoyo finally decided to text her.

He just sent her a quick text, set his phone down, and walked away for a little bit.

When he came back to his phone, after spending more time with the kids, he saw that there was a notification from his moms number.

He opened the chat box and read the message, she had asked if they could meet up and get some coffee or lunch soon. He hesitantly agreed.

They worked out a time that would work best for them both. A couple days from now, on Saturday.

Tobio had off that day, and it would give him a week to mentally prepare for it.

(Saturday)

The week went by rather fast, and today Shoyo was gonna meet up with his mom.

He and Tobio made a plan that while he went with his mom, Tobio was gonna take the kids to the park and get some ice cream after. That way if anything went wrong, he would be close enough to come pick him up.

Shoyo and his mom decided to meet up at a local café, it was near the center of town, but usually wasn't that busy, so they thought that would be the best.

When he walked inside, he spotted her sitting at a small table near the front of the café. She looked up at him and waved with a small smile.

He walked over and sat down in the seat across from her, giving a warm greeting.

The two sat in awkward silence for what felt like forever, was really only a few minutes, until she spoke up.

"I want to thank you for texting me back. Honestly I didn't really expect you to" Saya chuckled and rubbed the back of her neck.

Shoyo looked down for a minute, "I honestly didn't think I was going to either" he said and took his sweater off, putting it on the back of his seat.

Saya just nodded and smiled, "um well- how is everything?" She asked and nervously tapped her foot on the ground.

"Everything is fine. The kids are keeping us busy, but we enjoy it" Shoyo smiled, thinking about them.

Saya had a sort of disappointed look on her face for a moment, and looked like she wanted to say something.

"I- um" she stopped and looked over at Shoyo, who patiently waited for her to finish.

"Im so sorry for everything again. I should have been there for you, for everything. I can't believe I missed my grandkids being born, their birthdays and-" she choked up, begining to cry.

"I just really can't believe how I acted, and all I've missed in your lives. Ill admit, was shocked when I found out you were pregnant at only 17, but that is no excuse for the years before, or even after how I acted" she said, and looked down at the ground shamefully.
