(A couple days later)

Tobio woke up earlier this morning.

He left the hospital as Shoyo slept, and went to a nearby supermarket.

He picked up a bouquet of flowers, his favorite food, and candy, then went home to pick up Miwa.

She and Aiko switched out, so Miwa asked to come visit Shoyo and the pup at the hospital with him. Which he obviously was more than happy about.

When he got home, he went inside, and was trampled by the kids running up to him and hugging his legs.

"What are you guys doing up" he chuckled, setting the things down on the entry ways table and kneeling down in front of them.

"We wanted to see you!" Hanako said and chuckled, latching onto his arm, as energetic as ever.

Harumi just hugged him, and gave him a little kiss on the cheek. "I miss you and mama" she said and frowned, looking up at him.

"I know baby. Mama has to stay in the hospital for a few more days, but he'll be home soon" Tobio said and smiled, giving her a kiss on the head and looking at Kazuyo who had a giant pout on his face.

"What's wrong bud" Tobio asked, ruffling his bright orange hair.

He just huffed, turning away and going over to Aiko who was approaching them, juice bottles in her hands.

"Sorry, they weren't resting until you came home" she chuckled and handed the twins their cups, then Kazuyo.

"It's okay" Tobio smiled, standing up and giving her a hug.

Miwa came rushing out of the room, throwing her coat on and carrying a handful of bags in her hand.

"What the-" Tobio arched a brow, separating from the hug and looking at her.

Aiko just snorted, "you know your sister. She's gotta get a trillion gifts during troubling times" she said and pat Tobio's back.

"Okay, come on kids, let's go watch a movie" she said, putting her hands on the twins backs and shuffling them to the living room, not before they said goodbye to Tobio and Miwa.

Kazuyo quietly hopped off the couch and hurried over to Tobio, giving his leg a big hug.

Tobio gently lifted him up and kissed his head, "I'll be home again in a litttle bit, okay buddy" he smiled.

Kazuyo just stared at him and nodded, wiggling out of his embrace and going back to Aiko and his sisters.

Tobio's and Miwa arrived at the hospital at around eight in the morning.

Shoyo woke up, and looked around the room, a bit disappointed when he saw Tobio wasn't in there.

He glanced over at the table that was right next to his bed, and saw a little note.

-Good Morning, beautiful.
I had to run home for something, so if I'm not back by the time you get up, I promise I will be soon.

Shoyo smiled to himself and set the note down, turning back onto his side.

He looked at the clock, and watched the time slowly go by.

A nurse came in a couple of times to check in on him, took his vitals and got him some water.

The rooms door slowly opened, a little stream of light came through.
