( a week later)
Today the couple will be arriving back home.
They spent the last week in Paris, and had an amazing time. They were a bit sad to leave the beautiful city, but even more excited to get home to the kids. ____
They packed up their things the night before, and caught their flight that night just in time.
So this morning, when they arrived back in Japan, they finally reached home and just left their things in the car, only taking their smaller bags.
When they opened the door, the twins practically came flying at them, almost knocking them down in the process.
Harumi giggled and asked Shoyo to pick her up, clapping her hands as he lifted her up and into his arms.
Kazuyo hurried over and hugged their legs, looking up at Tobio and asking to be picked up. _____
They walked further inside, Aiko closing the door behind them and leading them over to the couch where Miwa was, Kaito snuggled up to her chest.
The pup opened his eyes and wiggled around, Miwa getting him up into a sitting position as the could walked closer.
Kaito looked up at Shoyo, his lip begining to quiver. He let out a cry and waved his tiny arms around making little grabby hands at him.
Shoyo smiled and sat down next to them, taking the pup and putting him on his lap.
"Ugh I missed my babies so much" Shoyo said as he snuggled them all close, the twins giggling as their faces squished together.
"We missed you and daddy so much!" Hanako hugged him tight and sat up.
"Mama guess what!" Harumi said as she separated from them and giggled.
"What baby?" Shoyo said, ruffling her hair.
"I started ice skating!" She clapped her hands and smiled brightly.
"Woah, that's so cool princess!" Shoyo and Tobio smiled. __________
Aiko and Miwa caught up with the couple, then left later on. Tatsuya stopped by to pick them both up, so he chatted for a few minutes before they left.
So it was not just the kids and the couple. They all laid on the couch, the kids telling them all about the fun activities they did together, and games they played.
Harumi told them about the ice skating lessons that Aiko and Tatsuya got her in. She really loves it, so the couple assured her they would continue to take her.
Kaito stared up at Shoyo and Tobio, nuzzling his head closer to Shoyo's chest. He let out a little yawn and stretched his tiny arms and legs.
"Sleepy baby, mh?" Shoyo chuckled, bringing the pup closer as he then sat up. "I'll go set him down for a nap, then why don't we all play a game?" He said and smiled as the kids perked up and nodded excitedly.
Shoyo went upstairs and got the now very sleepy pup all set up in his little crib, making sure he was nice and comfy.
He smiled, watching as the pup made little movements trying to get settled down into bed. He waited until Kaito was asleep before leaving the room.
He went back downstairs where he saw Tobio and the twins setting up a board game while Kazuyo hurried over to him, asking to be held.
"Alright, up you go" Shoyo chuckled, lifting him up with a small grunt.
"You guys are getting too big" Shoyo hugged him close, groaning when he realized how fast time was really going.
He felt like it was just yesterday that the twins were born, let alone Kazuyo and Kaito. He loves watching them grow into the wonderful kids they are now, but he gets a little sad realizing they're never gonna be the tiny pups they once were.
He just took a breath and smiled, carrying Kazuyo back over to everyone and sitting down next to Tobio, placing Kazuyo next to him. _______
The small family played their board game, while watching a movie.
Kaito woke up after a little while, so Tobio got him this time, and Shoyo took him so he could feed him.
Tobio made dinner for everyone, and together they all sat down and ate. ________
When it was bed time, they got Kaito all set up in his little bassinet next to their bed, which he was still tiny enough to lay in.
He was fast asleep, and the couple then tried getting the kids into bed.
"Mama, I wanna stay in bed with you and daddy" Kazuyo pouted and hugged his leg tight, not wanting to be away from him.
"Us too!" The twins both giggled, and ran past them, going into their bedroom.
Shoyo sighed, chuckling as he looked up at Tobio who just shook his head, smiling and lifting Kazuyo up to bring him into their room. "Guess we're just gonna have one big sleep over, huh" Shoyo ruffled Kazuyo's hair as they walked, and kissed his head.
The couple got the kids all settled down, and checked on Kaito one more time.
Shoyo set up the small night light they used for the kids, and the essential oil diffuser. Creating an even warmer environment for them all.
The couple got into bed, the kids all snuggled up with them as they then drifted off to sleep. Everyone all warm and cozy, feeling safe and comfortable in each others arms. ____________________________________
