Part 142~ Hesitations

Shoyo stared at Tobio as he cooked dinner.

He hopped on the counter and watched as Tobio glanced up at him arching a brow.

"Tobio" Shoyo said, looking down at his lap.

"What's up baby?" Tobio asked, a little worried at how serious he just got.

He put down the things he was holding for a moment, and put his hands on Shoyo's thighs, using one to reach up and touch his face.

"I think I'm pregnant" Shoyo said, making Tobio pause.

The two just stared at each other, and stayed quiet.

"Okay, do you need me to get any tests? Are you feeling okay?" Tobio said, helping him down from the counter and bringing him in for a hug.

Shoyo teared up and shook his head, "I have them. But- I don't know if I can do this again. I mean, Kaito is only two and a half, and I can't go through what happend with him all over again" he said, pressing his head against Tobio's chest as they wrapped their arms around one another.

"We'll figure it out honey. I'm not gonna make you go through with something that your not ready for, okay?" Tobio said, making him look up and giving him a kiss.

Shoyo began crying, feeling guilty for even feeling like he's not ready again. He hasent raken the test yet, so it's not official.

He's been getting super sick the past few days, with extreme nausea, sensitive smell, not to mention he's been super out of it, and sore.

These are all the symptoms he knew all too well, and it seems like this time they have just taken full control over him.

They ate dinner first, Shoyo was so nervous that he could barely even eat, so as soon as they finished they got the kids set up to play in the living room, and just went straight into the bathroom.

"Wait- just wait" Shoyo hesitated as Tobio handed him the test.

"Just- if I am, we'll figure it out. Right?" Shoyo looked up at Tobio who gave a soft smile and nodded.

"We will figure it out. But for now, just take the test, and we'll handle it from there, okay?" He said, kissing his head and handing him the test.

Shoyo took a deep breath and just took it, once he was finished, he placed it on the bathroom counter and washed his hands. Then set a timer on his phone for about five minutes.

Tobio opened his arms, pulling Shoyo in for a hug and lightly scented him.

After what felt like an eternity, the timer finally went off.

"Do you want me to look first?" Tobio asked, not wanting to overwhelm him. But Shoyo just shook his head and stepped forward.

He flipped over the test, and just turned around covering his face. "It's positive" he teared up and dug his head into Tobio's chest again.

"Okay- okay. It's okay" Tobio kissed his head and wrapped his arms around him.

Shoyo just stayed quiet as Tobio gently rocked back and fourth, and just listened to the sound of his heartbeat.

"I'm so sorry- I should be happier right now" Shoyo pulled away and looked down, but Tobio just shook his head.

"Don't apologize honey, you've been through a lot bringing our kids into this world. I don't want you feeling like you have to go through this all again, I'll be here for you no matter how you feel, and what you choose" he said.

Shoyo looked up for a moment, then back down. He felt a wave of guilt wash over him, hating the fact that he was so scared, and hesitant about having this pup.

"Why don't you go lay down on the couch, I'll clean this up" Tobio said, Shoyo just nodded, exiting the bathroom and going to the couch where Kazuyo and Kaito were snuggled up with one another, while the twins were coloring.

Harumi looked up and smiled, staying quiet when she saw her mama looking so upset.

"Mama, are you okay?" She asked, he just gave her a smile and nodded, setting a blanket on top of the boys and sitting down on the ground with the twins.

"What are you two coloring?" He asked, trying to distract himself a bit.

"Animals! It's my new coloring book" Hanako said, ripping out a coloring page and handing it to him, "you draw too mama!" She giggled, putting a few crayons in front of him making him smile.

Tobio walked back into the living room and smiled when he saw everyone.

The boys were now asleep as they cuddled, and Shoyo was coloring with the twins, which seemed to be helping him stay busy, and calmer.

He sat down next to Hanako, so she was now in between him and Shoyo.

"Can I draw too?" He said, ruffling her hair.

She giggled and nodded, sliding a piece of paper to him, along with some crayons and markers.

The family just colored the rest of the night, and spent time with one another.

By the time the couple got into bed, they were pretty tired.

Shoyo got in first, while Tobio finished getting cleaned up.

He just threw on a pair of sweatpants, and got next to Shoyo. He covered them both with a blanket, and wrapped his arms around his husband.

"I love you so much, Shoyo" he said and kissed his head.

Shoyo smiled and stayed turned around, "I love you too, Tobio" he said.

The two fell asleep shortly after, comfortable in one another's arms.
