Dear Reader,

Do you remember that hairstyle girls had that made their hair look wet and wavy? Similar to that of a "fresh out of the shower" mess? I can't remember what people called the travesty of a hairstyle but back in '07 all the preppy girls in my middle school had hair like that. I think they would make a ballerina bun, drown their hair in gel, go to sleep, and then wake up to a hot mess. Or at least something along those lines.

I never once saw it as cute. I would see it and think you poor unfortunate soul, you really need a shower. Maybe it was just me I don't really know but I thought it was just nasty. However a girl's hair can say a lot about her. Short hair means she probably doesn't like the maintenance of long hair and likes to get up and go. Long hair means she probably likes to pamper herself and has to get up 2 hours before school or work to get ready. Maybe she always has her hair in a bun like I did for my tween years. That means she most likely hates mornings and the institution known as brushes. For me living with curly hair is like double edged sword. If I cut it too short I become afro girl, if I grow it out too long I scare little children. Yet people always say they are envious of my curls.

People! If my hair isn't wet and I brush it I get a fuzzy mess, if it's to humid I get a fuzzy mess, when I wake up I have a knot in my hair much similar to that of a bird's nest. Also if I want to straighten out my mess it takes me at least an hour and that's with a good straightener. Plus I've never met a guy that liked girls with curly hair more than a girl with straight hair. But whatever.

So in short if I could pull off the bald look sometimes I wish I could. For now I'll settle with my badly abused curly hair that I have grown to love since dying it 5 different colors.
